  Unless the Pokémon in question were part-Rock type the other wouldn’t know anything about them! “N-nothing,” he continued quietly as he looked around warily. It was like they were in another fucking dimension altogether, but at the same time they were still on the same plane of existence. Shit, why did the thoughts of a multiverse even bother him in the first—oh, that’s right, the miasma. “Just…stay near me, I’ll… I’ll get us the fuck out of here, somehow…” he went on as he used his left foot to reach for the cane and attempted to kick it up. While he did struggle with getting it, he finally managed to do so— With one hand on the cane, the other on his phone, he continued to fiddle around with the ominous app that was installed on his device (the one he couldn’t delete, the one that contained the report) and watched as some of the letter-shaped Pokémon began flying around like it was nothing. There was something that caught his attention, and hopefully Mattie was sane enough to stay near him as he slowly, very slowly began to make his way out. Looking at the list of named Pokémon within the report, his brows furrowed together—what the hell was Thundurus doing listed there? Dialga and Palkia too—while those names didn’t ring any bells in his head (being a Unovan native) he stared at the screen for a few more moments. “C’mon, Mattie… let’s… get out of here.” purple tainted with black; strange figures fly out of the cracks. That they may have been walking around in circles—was that even possible? Well, it was his fault they were stuck in this miasmic mess. Come to think of it, he hadn’t noticed if there was a full moon in the skies before this entire shitshow with the Litleonids started. All he was certain of was the fact that this mist was messing with their heads, and getting out of there took all priority now. And then his legs refused to work again. He hadn’t kept track of how far they’d gone, but fact of the matter was, he couldn’t keep hobbling forever; the adrenaline rush was sure to crash out again— “Mattie,” he began quietly, leaning against him once more. “I… I can’t walk. Like. For real. My legs don’t wanna move anymore… I might need your help getting out of here after all…” he admitted. Holy shit. Now he was fucking terrified of losing his wings, permanently, if he kept up being a stubborn jackass like this. Shit. “Help,” he continued quietly, so softly only the other could hear.  Did Mattie pick him up, bridal-style?! “I know, I know… I’m sorry, it’s just that… well, you know, how I met one of the deities from my homeland last year, and they mentioned the ‘Interdream Zone’ during that encounter,” he continued quietly. Hoo boy, he was really close to the bluenette’s face now. Why the hell were his cheeks burning up?! What was happening?! Snaking his left arm behind Mattie’s head and settling it around the other’s shoulder, he looked at the phone he now held in his left hand and scrolled through the menu. “Just keep going straight—” he gestured, pointing ahead with his right arm. And then he remembered something he’d very nearly forgotten to ask the other about. “You—I saw that. And he hadn’t been able to get a single one recorded so far. What the hell was with these Unown being elusive?! Once he was certain they were on the right path out of this mess, he leaned his head on the bluenette’s shoulder as the other tried to—wait, was he trying to deflect? He wasn’t so sure at this point anymore. “I saw. I saw that. You know,” he said, feeling his ears burn up with blush once again. “Us two? The way Mattie had replied, the way the words were said, he—he couldn’t help but wonder if the bluenette was avoiding the topic altogether or something. A dark shadow darted around the two, it was one of the weird letter Unown Pokémon that he’d spotted floating around, chirping weird noises and then flying off in another direction. Several more, broken loose from whatever was in the miasma, followed not too long afterward. Why did it hurt to breathe all of a sudden after the other had closed the door roughly on the discussion? He only wanted to know more— The finality with how Mattie didn’t want to talk about what happened in the earlier part before things went to shit— Another Unown circled around them, eyeing them suspiciously, before hovering close to them and then making strange chirping noises. Well, it sounded like chirping to him anyway. Instead of following the other Unown, this one was accompanying them, through the thinning miasma, until— He looked up; the stars were starting to appear again through the thinning miasmic mist. “We… we’re close,” he said quietly. Never mind that his throat had gone dry all of a sudden, like there was some kind of dread settling into his very being. purple tainted with black; strange figures fly out of the cracks. Although in his case it was more on the mental kind of exhaustion; being confronted with the physical and then the mental kind of exhaustion was starting to do a number on him. He couldn’t help but wonder why the other refused to talk about what he’d noticed in the mist before everything went to shit. It was like—it felt like the bluenette didn’t want to approach it head-on. Eventually, the Unown that had been leading them disappeared—and they were back. Back out in the starry (albeit debris-scattered) courtyard, the miasma swirling and receding back whence it came. The rest of the Unown had also vanished. “We’re…safe now.” safety at last.
