The local governor calls for groups of volunteers to clean up the pile of dead leaves that have been piling up all around the parks lessening the beauties of the city. Due to the benefit that she can amass from the activities - Ann become part of the volunteer group and got pointed to one of the biggest parks within Verdanturf city. Ann borrows earphone from other homeless people that she met while she was living on the street and turn music as she holds the broom in her hand. Following the joyful beat, Ann moves haphazardly all across the place - Hopping up and down following the music. Without realizing that she is going to crash into someone...

The sudden crash abruptly stops the music on her ears and makes her face kiss the ground, a pained cry comes out from her mouth and she quickly turns her body angrily to see who dares hit her. However, her anger quickly got subdued when she realized that the man experience the same thing as she was - Which means that everything is an honest mistake on her part, jumping everywhere without looking at her own surrounding. "Oh gosh, I am sorry. Are you okay?" Ann quickly tries to get up and offer a hand to the man. "It was just the music that I was listening to is an upbeat song so I just can't not dance around while swiping this place" Ann throws an excuse without knowing if it is needed.

"Ya, I'm okay... It just smarts a little s'all." His face was flush from embarrassment, his skin a rosy hue burning against the brisk autumn clime. Taking their hand he helps himself up, careful not to drag her down to the ground with him. Ann now standing there awkwardly not entirely knowing what to do, she is not stellar at socializing especially with someone who is around her age. She is usually surrounded by adults yet she can't put any trust in them. It has been a good while since she interacts with someone around her age. "Ah," She exclaims after noticing that he is introducing himself. She takes off her earphone and shoves them into her pocket before accepting the hand for a handshake. "Ann, my name is Ann. Yeah, I kind of in the need the money that has been offered by the local governor for this activity" Ann introduces herself. [break][break]

Suddenly, the pile of leaves that she has been making since earlier burst into shambles as Zee is passing through and barks playfully at her without feeling any remorse. Ann just let out a long sigh, "Zee... You just erased my work for this past hour. What should I do with you, huh?" Ann crouches and stretches Zee's cheek. "Oh this is my trusted partner, her name is Zee. She is a Zorua and quite a rare one, at least that is what they told me" Ann introduces Zee to Aedan Quigley. She picked her up and let her rest on her embrace.

"Oh wow, a Zor-ru-ru—" Ann quickly realizes Aedan has a speech impediment as he tries to pronounce its name, before giving up. "Zee, huh? They're pretty neat-o!" He'd never seen one in person before. He only remembered them from books in history class. Wilbur seemed despondent at the sight of it being held, perhaps jealous of that capability. It approached Aedan, slobbering on his shoes while it tried to garner his attention. Euuugh, yuck! "This is my buddy Wilbur! He's, uh... a ground-type?"[break][break]

Wilbur became inconsolable hearing its trainer struggle to sing his praise.

Ann let out a soft chuckle when she listened to how Aeden tries to pronounce Zorua. That made her feel a bit nostalgic as she is also like that when she got her hence why she decides to call her Zorua with Zee instead of her species. "Wilbur, huh... He is a... I swear I know what Pokemon he is but it escapes my mind right now" Ann is snapping her finger trying to recall back the Pokemon Encyclopedia that she once read in the past. It felt like it is on the tip of her tongue but she can't say it. "I think, it has swine on it? I feel like I vaguely remember that part" Sadly, her attempt to remember it become a tragic attempt. Ann slowly sweeps the area as she is in the middle of clearing out the fallen leaves after all, but her attention still remains on the man. "Oh yeah, you any good in pokemon battle?" Ann suddenly asks a question. Hoping that he is quite knowledgeable in that kind of stuff.

Piloswine went from melancholy to fuming malice at the amount of disrespect it was getting from the two of them. They couldn't remember its name, Aedan had failed to say anything nice about it; they had both earned a spot on his sh#t list.[break][break]

"Ya, yer close. He's a Piloswine." Leaning over, Aedan strokes his fingers through its coarse fibers of hair, feeling the heat radiating off of his piggy companion. It turned its head from him as he nuzzled against it, undeterred. He can't be too sure what's bothering his best bud, but he tries making it right.[break][break]

"Pokemon battling? Heck yeah! I'm learnin' all sorts of stuff at the school in Rustboro!" Which wasn't entirely untrue, although rarely did he get to battle anything that put up a decent fight. "Wilbur here is a tank. I've never had 'em faint in battle. But mostly I like 'im 'cause he's so dang fluffy..."[break][break]

Finally Wilbur received the praise it had yearned for, and then some. It took him back to when he was just an itty bitty piggy, and Aedan scooped him up off a neighboring farm to keep for himself. "Whaddabout you? D'ya like pokemon battlin'?"

Zee chuckles while grinning as she sees how Wilbur acts toward his trainer. Ann chuckles in a similar way to how Zee chuckles, that small detail shows how close she is to Zee. "To be frank" Ann continue swiping while talking, "I am not really the best in pokemon battling. I am prone to panic while battling makes everything blank" Ann tells him honestly. " However, I do want to get better at battling so I can at least protect myself when I sleep in the wilderness." Ann continues as she pushes the leaves that she sweeps to a plastic bag. "Oh" Ann suddenly snaps her finger, realizing something. "Would you mind if you have a battle with me right now? Perhaps you can give me some pointers while we fight" Ann asks for a favor, gazing right into the man's eyes.

Aedan wouldn't say it outright, but his parents were strict and if they found out he was using this time for pokemon battling and not the job from the bulletin board? They would fry his eggs. Rather than suffer through another one of their shouting matches, he'd defer their little battle to another point down the road.[break][break]

Aedan locates a spare rake and grabs it, gesturing it with a subtle lift. "Maybe if we finish this quick, but I have to go home real soon after." Parents could be a drag, but they only wanted what was best for Aedan, thus they sheltered him overly.
