informal bio basics: ya mans went through some basic transitioning into concerning levels of neglect and trauma in the past (excessive bullying, constant neglect, you catch my drift) and all of those things ended up sort of forging him into the person he is today. do he got morals? kinda. are they really jank? definitely. he's got a troubled past that he doesn't speak a word about to anyone, and the only ones that really know about it are him, his pokemon, and the family that more or less disowned him.[break][break]

somewhere along the line, he ended up being sent to live with some relatives in one of the more reputable and modernized cities in kanto (let's tentatively say saffron city by now), where his grandparents tried to reverse all those years of bad jujus he went through. long story short, they couldn't, and he ended up making friends with the wrong crowds. one thing led to the next, and now we're here, witnessing him at the peak of his grifter career. dude's got a silver tongue and knows he's good at what he does, and to this day, most people who know of his grifting escapades really only know him and what he's done under his moniker, ryeong- otherwise, he's just a normal dude with a squeaky clean record. honestly speaking, he's finessed his way through a lot of scams of differing importance and stolen a lot of pokemon (some for team rocket, some for straight up jobs, and whatever else in between. it's all honestly fair game) and other goods over the years, so yeah. he comin' for ya knicknacks.[break][break]

his pokemon are also basically his family. blood does not run thicker to him, and those two were really the only ones that both found and defending him through everything he went through as a kid, so you can safely assume that they're a) the only ones he really cares about with his heart and soul at the moment, and b) only loyal to him, and him along. if he isn't around, they're an absolute nightmare to work with and handle. found family stereotypes but with pokemon, basically.[break][break]
