Melody had been wanting to learn a method of self defense since Hoenn, specifically Sootopolis was growing more and more violent. So she decided what better way to learn the way of the sword then by having cobalion herself practice with her. There was just one small problem, from what Melody could garner, Cobalion could not speak. [break][break]

Or at least that's the conclusion she came to since he hasn't said a word since they've met. [break][break]

It did make the training a little harder, she had a fencing sword and was getting absolutely stomped by Cobalion's sword skills. "Damn! You're fast Cobalion!" she said huffing and puffing as she laid out on the floor trying to catch her breath. He sheathed his sword and came over to her and sat next to her side silently staring. "You sure are a strange one, but you've got a good heart I can tell." she said reaching up to his tuft of fur and scratching it. [break][break]

"It sounds cheesy but I'm glad we met cobalion. You've taught me a lot, I hope one day I can repay the favor to you."

Melody was laying down in the concert hall area of her gym, she was rolling a pokeball around in her hand. Cobalion came over to her and nudged her to keep training with her sword. She laid her arms flat on the ground "ALlllllright alllright." she said sitting back up and grabbing her rapier. [break][break]

Her knuckles were starting to become a little more bruised, she'd have to start wearing wraps around her hands. "Ok, let's keep going cobalion." she was still getting used to holding her sword and keeping proper form. He stared on silently, impressed by her determination.

Melody was in her gym, preparing for a concert and watching the tv in the corner as people surrounded her and prepared her face with make up. In the corner Cobalion watched, staring at her. In the background the tv was talking about icirrus city. Cobalion turned it's head and watched the news. "Oh, yeah. there's myths about you in Unova right?" she asked him never really expecting a reply. [break][break]

I wonder what kind of place it's like. It sounds nice to visit one day. Maybe we can go together? She offered wondering if cobalion was even interested in such a thing, but as per usual he simply didn't react to it. Melody was gonna have to start making up an internal voice for him for replies. "SYure melODY tHAT Sound GrEAt." she said laughing a bit at herself. Cobalion was not amused.

It was a cold wintery night and Melody had been worried about Cobalion, he wouldn't answer he calls and he missed practice time with her today for fencing...he usually never was tardy for anything and he usually came immediately when she needed him. It was Christmas night too, was he busy with legendary Pokémon stuff? [break][break]

She had been looking out the window where she had spotted Cobalion staring at her through it. "AHHH COBALION WHAT THE FUCK." she said opening the door and going by his side. [break][break]

"What the FUCK are you doing out in the cold?! Get inside you weirdo!" she said pulling on him and him resisting at first but letting himself be tugged. Was he keeping watch on her from outside? What the hell? [break][break]

Melody immediately offered him some warm tea since she wasn't sure if he could drink hot chocolate or not. Melody tugged him over to the living room and put on a new movie she loved about a spanish family with magical gifts and cuddled up to him with a blanket as she wished him a merry christmas.

Melody had been invited by noah faber to her gym. Apparently something about 'we love boy's night?' Well regardless she was asked by him to bring cobalion over for something private and Melody had no reason to not trust noah so she did.. [break][break]

She did as she was asked, Cobalion oddly compliant for once in all the time she's spent with him as it was the first time he listen to her without a Pokémon's safety being involved. Was she growing on him even more? Well she waited outside of noah's gym when eventually cobalion came out...without noah? [break][break]

"There you are? Did you have fun?" she asked as she looked behind him to see where Noah was. Her face turned red as she saw Noah laying on the floor knocked out. "COBALION! YOU CANT JUST DO THAT TO NOAH! HE ISNT A POKEMON!" she shouted but his expression remained unchanged as he stared at her.

Now for a new episode of Melody's shenanigans on this board. [break][break]

She wasn't actually up to anything really chaotic, she had been practicing her dance for a recent performance that Martín del Mar was going to be attending unbeknownst to her. [break][break]

She had been practicing alongside two of her sensu oricorio's as she had been having her pokemon teacher her things in turn after she realized how effect Cobalion's teaching of sword play was. Was it possible that Pokemon came up with these things first and human's simply learned to mimic them? The thought was too difficult for someone like Melody to process so she simply continued to practice her dancing and copying her pokemon's movements silently.

A next step was taken, Melody had finally become one of the Elite 4. However she was not sure exactly what happen to Stormy Silph as she was not yet privy to such knowledge of her whereabouts. [break][break]

And given the recent events transpiring before she left Sootopolis, melody knew she had to learn to fight now more than ever. Her sword skills had improved a lot since the last time she really practiced with Cobalion one on one. She was at least able to keep up with him this time, he still held the advantage naturally as he was much more experienced than she. [break][break]

Left, right, up, down. She fended off his attacks but he was slowly gaining the advantage but that's when she managed to pull a fast one on him, he didn't expect her to move forward and roll underneath him and poke him in his rib with her finger. "Gotcha!" she joked as she realized Cobalion had used protect to stop her finger from actually touching him "WHAT?! NO FAIR I CANT USE MOVES!" she shouts at him as he shoves her with his hoof and she hits the floor with a gasp. [break][break]

However unbeknownst to her, Cobalion grinned for the first time.

She was standing in her new concert hall, despite it being almost an eerily perfect replica of her concert hall in Sootopolis. Something in her brain screamed at her. [break][break]

'Why did you leave? You ran away when things got hard. It's your fault it turned out this way.' [break][break]

These thoughts grew louder and louder each day and for some reason they would always be accompanied by migraines. She had sat down on the edge of her stage, pinching the bridge of her noise. She started to see flashes of scenes that she never saw before but felt familiar to her. "H-Heatran! Guys! Hurry please!"she called out hoping he was nearby as her team of Pokémon she used to create statues was nearby. [break][break]

They rushed over, concern filling their eyes as they knew what was about to happen. Her vision blurred. [break][break]

A short while later. [break][break]

She panted as the rest of her team was tired as well from her largest creation. Scenes of her in horrific events, her with kyle lopez ? Wait? was that Cillian Quinn at her gym? When did that happen? The last one was also strange, Rowan Wrynn with her in a jail cell? [break][break]

'Look away, [break]

look away, [break]

Rapunzel don't leave your tower, mother knows best.'

the voice pleaded with her causing another wave of a migraine to pulse over her head as the voice tempted her with sweet promises of relief. [break][break]

She stared at the statue, wondering what to do before she balled her hand into a fist. "Cobalion." she asked, knowing he was near as he always was. He turned the corner, his face as stoic as ever. "Sacred sword. Please." she asked as he lowered his head, eyes closed as if he was disappointed in her choice. [break][break]

It was not time yet, but he knew that eventually it would come. The time in which she'd begin to understand his distaste for humans.

There was a lot of rumbling and shaking in the concert hall again. Instead of Melody and Cobalion sparring this time, it was cobalion and Urshifu. [break][break]

For some reason, despite the fact that Cobalion didn't like to battle without a reason. It seemed like it was slowly changing? They had been losing a lot recently, against Kazimir Wynter 's urshifu with a strange ability, that strange alien that attacked her in her original gym ( Killian Decker ) and against that strange lugia and the face she couldn't recall for whatever reason (Cillian Quinn ) [break][break]

"Surging strike urshifu!" she called out as urshifu rushed forward with a barrage of fists poised to strike at cobalion. Cobalion however seemed ready, with his sword drawn he was keeping up with the pokemon's strikes, parrying them instead of straight up defending. Urshifu however grew tired as it had already been some time since they had sparred. [break][break]

Cobalion was the victor. "You both did wonderful. Gardevoir! Hatterene! Please help them both out!" she said waving for them to come over, they both teleport with their psychic powers and Melody went to give affection to all her pokemon. "I'm very happy you finally agreed to train with us cobalion. I know you don't like to fight but sometimes it's necessary and hell! Look how much fun Urshifu had!" she smiled as Urshifu gave the sword of justice a big thumbs up.

Melody had been trying to train her smeargle, he had access to some unique moves that many people didn't know of. However there were other moves that could make him particularly useful. Especially since the owner of this move almost never wanted to battle. [break][break]

"Phione! Smeargle!" she called out into her concert hall awaiting for them to arrive. [break][break]

The two came waddling along, well smeargle waddled along as Phione sat on it's head as it so commonly liked to do since it was too lazy to hop around on it's own. "Ok smeargle. I need you to do me a favor and learn a move only phione knows since Phione doesn't really like to battle herself. It's a strange one that time distortion seemed to help her learn ok?" she asked as Phione and smeargle both nodded in agreeance.

Phione began to use take heart to empower herself as smeargle used sketch to imitate and learn how to use the power himself. She clapped "Awesome job, later on we're gonna try and get you more powerful moves and make you the bestest artist in the world!" she says excitedly as she was really happy it was really easy for it to learn.

It was a solemn night at MT. Pyre. She was alone as she had come to do a very specific thing. She had buried her pokemon here after the post dormitum chaos. [break][break]

All of her feelings from her battles in the cave where hey had died one after another ravaged her heart. "Every time I seem to do something I fucked it up somehow don't I?" she says talking to herself as she crouches to the ground and sits with her knees close to her chest. [break][break]

"So many of you died...and for what? So that FERNANDO SILPH has more ammo to throw at me? For someone else to come and point out my own incompetency?" she says as her finger traced the floor as she created an endless trail of circles in the dirt to try and distract herself. "Or for me to be a victim of a situation and to be blamed for it? I haven't been able to save a single person from anything...I've been the one who has to be rescued time and time again..I cant even save the pokemon stuck in the mechanical kingdom." she says as the tears continue to fall down her cheek and into the dirt below her. "I just wish someone would tell me what I needed to do to feel better, to be better, do better.." she says as she stares at the gravestones that haunted her.

She closes another book, another fairy tale under her belt. Well it was one she already knew, cinderella. For some reason her visits into the mechanical kingdom had reminded her of the story. [break][break]

A princess with a magic spell that allowed her to visit the ball, but when the clock struck 12 then the spell ended and she was forced to go back to reality. A single lamp shade was lighting her room right now, the tome from the mechanical kingdom she kept with her staring back at her, whispering secrets of power to her. [break][break]

She traced her finger over it as her quackly jumps onto the desk, fixing his hair and making bids for Melody's attention. She ruffles his hair to mess with him, "Oh don't worry about me lil ducky. I'll be fine. I just couldn't help but wonder...what would possess that meloetta to do any of that? Possesing those machines like that...was it to protect them? I refuse to believe it's doing it for it's own entertainment, that place doesn't make sense and I'm lost as to how to make sense of it all." [break][break]

She puts both books away and hugs her quackly as she lifts him up into her arms "But enough of that for now, it's time for sleep. I can't do anything if im too tired to work."
