[attr="class","lars"] pokemon tag words 496 notes long-ish notes below | It was real thankful that out of his Pokémon, most of them knew how to fight without him commanding them around so much. Maybe it was with the way he raised them, he didn’t know—but he let them do their thing most of the time—at least until they were backed into a corner and then forced to turn to him for some direction.
He thought he heard a Screech coming from somewhere in the distance—a familiar-sounding one.
“Shit,” he hissed, quickly reaching into his jacket and pulling out a Moon Ball, he spun it around for a few moments before popping it to full size and sending his Swampert out, watching as the form hit the ground from the flash of red light that emerges from it.
“Sui, go help Javert. Seems like he’d having problems,” he said quietly, before getting a nod from the dual-type and watching as he shot off in the darkness, headed towards the loud screeching noise where the Flygon was having a rough time fending off the Midday-Lycanroc, who’d gone and used Stone Edge to try and force the dragonfly into a corner. Letting out another panicked Screech, the Flygon then attempted to bat back the incoming barrage with a sudden Boomburst attack—the sudden explosion of noise catches the Lycanroc off-guard, if but for a few moments.
Just as the pale Lycanroc was beginning to recover, a sudden burst of water smacked into it face-first—the Swampert had arrived with a powerful Hydro Pump entrance! Letting out a warbling noise of relief, the Flygon was about to whip up a Sandstorm when the Swampert leapt forward—only to jump back a bit before releasing a Whirlpool vortex of water and catching the Midday-Lycanroc unaware, trapping it between the sudden burst of water.
Back where the Lucario had used Counter, the attack was taken—the wince on Alpha’s face was obvious—before he flung out his arms in a sweeping gesture, sending the attack backwards at the Dusk-Lycanroc, before quickly following it up with a homing Aura Sphere attack.
“Alph, be careful,” he calls out, his eyes scanning the darkness, trying to pick out where the Grunt he was supposed to deal with was hiding. The Lucario then focuses again, Nasty Plot before firing off a second auric sphere of energy should the first one get blocked somehow—and for some unexpected reason it does get blocked! Frowning slightly, he knew that the second would hit this time—Alpha made sure of it.
Over where his Metagross was, Ro was now using another Telekinesis to hold the Midnight-Lycanroc in mid-air, listening to the sudden yelping noises that it was making before the Metagross came in close and aimed a point-blank Meteor Mash attack right at its face. Well, not powerful enough to outright kill it, but forceful enough to stun it and force it down.
Hopefully that would force the Grunt commanding the three canines out of hiding…
- Flygon Screeches for help, Lars sends out Swampert and instructs Suijin to go help the Flygon - Back where the Flygon is, gets cornered by Midday-Lycanroc’s Stone Edge and uses Boomburst to delay imminent doom - Midday-Lycanroc gets knocked down because of the shock waves, before it can retaliate a sudden Hydro Pump enters the scene, Swampert has arrived - Swampert then uses Whirlpool a few moments later - Over where Lucario is, Counter activates and sends the damage back two-fold at the Dusk-Lycanroc, follows it up with Aura Sphere - For some strange reason the first Aura Sphere gets blocked, he doesn’t know how, so Nasty Plot + Aura Sphere #2 follows right after that - Metagross now holding up Midnight-Lycanroc in mid-air with Telekinesis, before coming in with a Meteor Mash at practically point-blank range!
