Taro arrived at his first job as a Ranger in Hoenn. He has been getting himself settled and finding his way of the land. But recently, it felt the land itself has been finding its way of him. But he digresses. He's on his first day of work today, and it's to help a Wailord back into the ocean after it has beached itself. A difficult heavy labor job as they come. Taro lets out a sigh. The man wondered why he was the only one here, isn't this sort of job a multiple people job?

Taro, while looking over the beached Wailord in the ocean. Now that he thinks back about it, the captain of the nearby town did say for Taro to wait for a woman named Amelia Livy . Was that his help? Not that he was sexist or anything, but what they did expect from a single man and woman to move this hefty Wailord. Maybe she has a super strong pokemon he doesn't know about that would be able to move it like a snap? Taro has never heard of such a pokemon that could lift a Wailord like it was nothing. But Hoenn is full of oddities. Maybe, he shouldn't second guess this Amelia lady.

Hopefully, she gets here soon.

To be completely honest here, Lia and the ocean have never really vibed.

Is it because she comes from a family whose origins are in mining, of all things? Yes and no, for while she will always have a certain fondness for Ground types, it’s up in the skies that she thrives.

And so, it’s by air that she arrives; the golden wings of a huge Pidgeot spreading as wide as they can spread as it lands by the beach where a few struggling Wailords can clearly be seen. Poor things. Although… That’s a hell of a mission to give a new Cadet and a recruit, isn’t it?

Good thing that by now Lia is full of confidence that she can handle this sort of thing. In fact, she’s even a bit excited about it, and it’s with a smile that she can only assume is her companion for this mission.

Taro, waiting for this Amelia woman to arrive, would attempt to push the Wailord by himself to test how heavy it was, and my god, it weighs like a truck! Taro tried a couple more failed attempts of pushing it into the ocean by himself. It did nothing work, and he gave up trying by himself and decided to wait for Amelia.

Suddenly, while leaning against the deserted Wailord, a feminine voice called out to him, asking if he was Taro. Taro looked at the woman and nodded his head, confirming his identity to her. "That's my name. You must be Amelia, right?", Taro wondered what they could do together. He was kind of shocked they only sent the two of them for this. He wonders if the woman had an ace up her sleeve.
