What did Wooloo farms need to stay safe? Big flying three headed-dragons, of course! Where someone else had put a Golurk here to help with the job, acting like some sort of oversized scarecrow more than anything else, Megan made her entrance on her Hydreigon, landing in one fell swoop, hopping off the thing while expertly keeping one hand slightly on the skirt to keep everything orderly, and let it fly off again so it could patrol the perimeter. Yes, this time she very much was doing her best to make an impression. Even though the young man that she saw on the grounds, ostensibly someone on the same duty as herself and trainer to the Golurk, looked a bit more like an hippie to begin with. Or whatever they were called these days.

Either way, she already expected to score any coolness points with this one at the very least. “Hey there,” she hence greeted him intermittedly. “Guess you are here to look after the Wooloos too?”

Megan gave the Salazzle a brief glanceover but mostly let it be. If it truly was just overprotective, that was fine. As long as it did not attack her, they would get along swimmingly. And she figured it wouldn’t since, well, the trainer had ordered it to. She had found that Pokemon that belonged to others were usually fairly decent at keeping their temper in check if nothing else. Which was fairly good already. Way better than most people, really. But then again, she probably had only met those who were in bad conditions to begin with. Maybe she should not be too hard on those.

“Is it? I honestly never given much thought to that.” Besides, she had for the longest time lost track of seasons to begin with. Mostly since decorations-wise stuff changed only after the most recent holiday, but way ahead of the next, so Halloween moved straight into Christmas. “But it usually is around this time of the year that weird things start happening. I heard the other day that sightings of Unown have been on the rise. I don’t really think that has anything to do with what is going on here though, I reckon.”

She shook her head, kind of sadly. “Unfortunately I have not. It always seems like everyone else sees them but I never can get a hold of them.” She had heard the stories of them though. Floating black letters with eyes. Sounded kind of freaky but also somewhat interesting. Yet, she had seen some other things that she probably shouldn’t have had. But Unown had been an, well, Unknown. Well, maybe one night the stars would align and let her see, maybe even catch one.

However, before she could get to that, there was danger afoot. She mostly reacted deadpan to it, not expecting whatever it is to truly be much of a threat. After all, she had a dragon.

When Hydreigon saw the Wooloo flee it circled back towards the happening and then dove down towards whatever was chasing them, greeting the assailant with a Tri-Attack from all three heads right away.

“Uh, on some route,” she replied, having forgotten which one in particular it had been. That magical night with a stranger she’d never seen again – wait, that sounded completely wrong like that – had just happened out of nowhere, she had just been between two cities, not going there specifically. But ever since, she’d usually kept it in her party. Because, well, Hydreigon was just awesome.

Probably not awesome to the Lycanrocs, which were scattering now. A few of them hurled rocks towards Hydreigon, but the dragon did the next best thing and simply flew up, hovering outside of range, it’s shadow looming over them. A simple tactic, but an effective one in discouraging the attackers. After all, if they could not reach it, how could they ever hope to win? Blunt Force was not everything in getting rid of those, really. “But it was pretty hard to capture it. Me and my Arcanine had to basically climb it at one point just to get a few hits in. Pretty intense, really.”

“Hehe,” she made, briefly rubbing her nose. Feeling a bit embarrassed but also proud of herself was slightly weird. It wasn’t often that she got to talk to someone about these things without holding back. Kind of felt refreshing to talk to a fellow awesome dragon aficionado.

Said Hydreigon was now inhaling with all three heads. And then it unleashed a full power Hyperbeam at the remaining Hydreigons, trying to force them into a proper retreat now. “Yeah,” she continued, seeing this with a bit of awe in her voice. “It was proper scary when it was a wild Pokemon just coming after me straight from a starless sky at night.” It had been a very difficult fight for sure. And without her Arcanine, she could have died. A sobering thought, but everything worthwhile in this world was dangerous to acquire, wasn’t it?

“Just be careful though. Most meteors crashing into people’s lives tend to end them, after all,” she replied, surprisingly somber. Yes, she was prone to making a bit light of what had happened back then. But it had still been a pretty dangerous situation. She’d rather not be the cause of some guy she barely knew getting himself injured or worse by running head-first into another Hydreigon.

Though with that Golurk, he probably would be fine. Or at least have the bulk to survive, if nothing else. “I’m Megan Whitmore. Most just call me Meg, though.” Which was a lot better than ‘Miss Whitmore’. If she heard that one more time, she would probably snap. “If you go after a Hydreigon though, do me a favour and be careful. Those things aren’t just strong, they are also quite vicious in the wild. Best not underestimate them, really.” That being said though, they were probably victorious for now. Which meant Wooloo safe, mission success, payment incoming. And that was the important part.
