He’d just gotten back from one of those coffee shops that was offering a sale on those strangely-called ‘pumpkin spice’ drinks (he actually had one of those drinks) back to where his Golurk was waiting for him.

“Sorry if I kept you waiting,” he said upon approaching the Golurk and knocking on the leg of the golem. Normally, whenever he took the Golurk anywhere, the golem would settle themselves down outside wherever he needed to go, a quiet statue until he returned.

All at once, one of the arms moved down toward the ground and spread its palm open, allowing him to hop on before being placed on the shoulder (where he always rode).

“Come on, let’s go,” he said once he was back on his comfortable position.

With a loud roar, the Golurk stood up, before taking off in a blast of ‘rocket’ power.

“Whoa, whoa, WHOA!”

There was a blast of energy that had very narrowly clipped him and sent him to the hospital that had flown over his head just now. Geez, looks like was right after all—

Hydreigon weren’t to be fucked around with!

“Good grief, you got a lotta anger issues there, don’t you?!” he exclaimed as he looked up again to hear the titanic-sized triple-headed Dragon-type Pokémon bellowing its rage.

“Calm down! Yeesh, I’m not here to hurt you!” he continued as he got up, holding his hands out in a placating attempt to calm the danged beast down.

What the hell?

Why was there snow on the ground—wasn’t Hoenn supposed to be a tropical region?

He blinked.

He was flying around on his Golurk’s shoulder, and for some reason he’d decided to give the Golurk a Santa hat to wear (it would look weird if he painted Alfons red and white, okay, so the hat had to do) to bring some ‘holiday’ cheer as he flew around, dropping off gifts at local orphanages and the like.

“What is it?” he asked the silent golem as they streaked through the sky. They’d agreed to be a travelling ‘Santa’ of sorts, and balanced on the Golurk’s other shoulder was a sack of presents that was secured to prevent the contents from spilling.

“Is there something bothering you?” he continued quietly, leaning back as the Golurk flew on towards their next destination.
