was it just lei, or was he dealing with a lot of sheep pokemon, lately?

technically, he didn't even have to, but he wanted to. it was something other than the usual routine of his job, errands, and whatever else he could think of. and he didn't mind the sheep; even if they were a little skittish of him and his dog pokemon, and he was having a bit of trouble.

There was a horrible shrieking!

"Ah! Pigpen, no!"

Sailing by @lei was a Wooloo, who did go back into the pen. The shrieking was coming from the Whismur on it's back, which was riding the Wooloo like a horse.

Vicki ran up a moment later, pausing to rest her hands on her knees and pant. The Whismur hopped off the Wooloo and waddled over. It just so happened she had stopped next to Lei.

lei wasn't expecting shrieking, to say the least.

A little 'shew!' and Vicki stood back up straight, fanning herself as she panted. That had been quite a run! And it was hard to do when you only had one whole leg! Her cheeks were all flushed, skin rosy, from the physical exertion.

"Huh?" She glanced over at @lei, perking up. "Oh! Dog guy! I'm fine, just need to catch my breath!"

yeah! the whismur was nearby, having apparently done the pokemon version of horse riding. with a sheep pokemon, but that was okay. it still counted, right?

"I am!" Even if Vicki was silly and got into trouble she did like to help people. "The farmer looked so sad and I felt bad they were lost. I'm glad I helped find one!" Even if Pigpen had an unorthodox way of doing it.

Speaking of, the Whismur did a twirl and posed in front of @lei before he held his little arms up, wanting to be picked up. He was praying for some pets.

"i'm sure they appreciate the help!" especially considering lei's pokemon were only serving to make things worse. briefly, lei wondered if they were so skittish because of a full moon. that impacted some pokemon, right?

lei didn't notice pigpen dancing at his feet at first, but at the whismur wwnting to be picked up, lei decided to humor the pokemon, lifting him up a bit hesitantly.

Pigpen let out a loud yell, pleased with the attention. Vicki just laughed at her pokemon's antics. Whismur were known for being very timid and quiet but Pigpen wasn't like that at all!

"Pigpen, be nice!" But she still smiled and laughed at @lei's expense. "Sorry about him! He's been trained to be really loud ever since I was a kid. Now he has, like, zeeero volume control."

lei flinches back at the yell- he feels bad for it, because it looks like pigpen is just happy, but it was loud and took him by surprise. once the initial surprise fades, though, he gives the whismur a pat on the head.

"i don't mind." okay, maybe he did a little, but that wasn't on vicki or her pokemon, and he was fine a second later. but the pokemon in question reminded him of- "wait. the rest of the flock-" he had only seen the one, after all, as distracted as he was.

Vicki opened her mouth when a sudden rumbling started to happen underfoot.

Then, zooming by and into the pen, was the whole herd of pokemon... minus the one that Pigpen had wrangled. A blur of purple at the front, Gummi the Wurmple hiding a Dubwool, a String Shot connecting her to the other pokemon like reins on a horse. The rest were behind, bleating; Gummi had even fashioned herself a little cowboy hat out of sticky webbing and fallen leaves.

Vicki stared as dumbfounded as @lei no doubt was before she let out a massive whoop of laughter.
