Unlike Shoal Cave, whose lower levels were almost always coated in an everlasting layer of snow-white dust, Mount Pyre painted a very different picture—

Asides from the fact that it was almost always foggy around here (like 98% of the time there was fog everywhere) one would also have to watch their steps to prevent any kind of accidents.

Not even a powerful lamp could dispel the semi-permanent fog of gloom that hung around the place.

Either way, he was back—for more, again.

The first thing that he would encounter was a Honedge, which made him chuckle.

It was a shame that he already had a Honedge of his own with a thematically-appropriate name, ‘Caliburn’, but he hadn’t done much with his own Honedge.

Well, he was trying to find a way to integrate the sentient sword into his retinue, but there was the little issue of the cloth sucking out one’s life force if held for too long…

Leaving the sword to shine its blade, he continued on deeper into the fog.

After leaving the sword behind, the next Pokémon he encountered was—

A sentient bunch of eggs? But wait, there was something—there was something that set him off as he checked his collection notes once more.

Well then.

Before he could even react, the Exeggcute began causing a racket and tossing a Barrage of random objects at him.

“What the hell?!” he exclaimed, plucking a Pokéball at random and throwing out the Pokémon within—he was surprised to see that it was his Altaria.

“Nami, do what you have to!” he shouted over the racket as the objects continued to fly; the Barrage was still ongoing. Acting fast, the Altaria took a deep breath before releasing a concentrated blast of Flamethrower aimed at the cluster of eggs.

A Safeguard screen snapped into place a few moments afterward just as the Exeggcute threw a cloud of noxious Poison Powder at the flying cloud. An Ice Beam followed right after, catching the cluster of eggs in a block of ice.

“Whoops.”

An empty Pokéball is then thrown.
