He was looking for four more Pokémon to complete a certain something, and he was wondering how long he was going to be wandering around the misty portions of Mount Pyre.

Certainly not as long as the time he’d spent in Shoal Cave, he hoped! Finding every single Ice-type that wasn’t a Legendary Pokémon was time-consuming, but endlessly fulfilling,

Now all he needed to find was one more Pokémon so he could complete that collection.

…and maybe three more other Pokémon along the way to complete another collection; but he was shooting for the moon at that point.

With the way the thick fog always seemed to envelope Mount Pyre, it definitely made a prime spot for ghosts to hide in the thick environs, cackling out of sight, out of mind—

At least he wasn’t going to be visited by any of those Christmas ghosts he remembered existing in one of those holiday tales—particularly the ghost of Christmas Future because that one was the scariest of them all.

Squinting into the gloom, he thought he saw something move, scuttle around—but it didn’t reveal itself.

He then picked his next steps carefully through the fog just in case he was walking ridiculously close to a cliff.

The next thing he encountered looked like something deliberately out of a nightmare—

Why did this Pokémon remind him of so much? Was it because she was the Ghost-type specialist? Or was there something more…sinister…when it came to the similarities between the two?

He had to think fast, though, because the beginnings of a spiteful Curse were malingering around the thick foggy air of Mount Pyre—and a shiny Gardevoir made her appearance.

“We’re getting that one.”

With a singular gesture, the Gardevoir released a powerful blast of lunar energy at the same time the Spiritomb came in for a Feint Attack—the Moonblast colliding at the same time and causing a powerful burst of energy to rip through the area.

As the flash bang of light cleared—

“Nice.”

Another empty Pokéball was thrown.
