Was he running short on time?

He was definitely running short on time.

With another year almost drawing to a close, he still hadn’t completed some of the collection-based objectives he was keeping track of.

Sometimes the luck was there, sometimes it wasn’t.

He thought he could hear little jingling noises similar to Chimecho ringing in the distance—after all, those were Psychic-type (and most probably lurked around Mount Pyre a lot) but he couldn’t see any of their number, for what it was worth.

Instead, though, he saw a Mr. Mime.

And immediately snickered as he sent a text along with a picture that said, ‘Reminded me of you,’ before chuckling and leaving the Mr. Mime alone to its own devices.

The next thing he came across was a—

Well, well, he already had Lucius for a Chandelure—and knew how extremely territorial that particular Ghost-type got when it saw another of its own kind.

It was like—the other didn’t want to see another of its species. Who knew what was going through his Chandelure’s mind as he saw this one float by, trying to pierce the fog with its gloomy, yet at the same time absolutely terrifying light.

Oh yes, he heard of the stories that surrounded this particular Pokémon, and how certain locations became unlucky when one of their kind started haunting that place.
