the question he buries deep within the recesses of his mind surfaces with bryan's candid question. there was no escaping now, and no feigning ignorance and anything similar. "b-b-bryan!" he splutters incoherently before ending up with his name.

libido now fades as he is faced with reality.

his hands grab on to a chunk of his hair before sliding to the back of his neck. a migraine forms alongside an obviously worried and anxious expression, though it cannot hide the flush of red alongside the fluster in his actions.

"being attached to someone is already bad, but getting in a relationship with someone while in this line of work is dangerous! people play underhandedly and giving them more tools to get to you is just, like, super bad!"

priam grows frantic. the usual optimism fades into concern. stories about friends within the organization who disappeared without a trace resurface from his memories.

"-and you're eventually going to choose between a special someone and the organization and it's always a wrong decision, and you're going to regret it, and nothing ends well in rocket, and-"

he sighs and calms down before looking back up to bryan. "well, it's not like i'm opposed to it or anything, but..."

He stood there, suddenly understanding why Priam was avoiding it. He stays silent while Priam vents his concerns, it was only fair he heard him out. He knew Priam was right, people would strike at this opening he's making in his heart. He reach's for Priam's hand gently and leads him over to the bed before pushing him on it and straddling onto him. [break][break]

"Do you trust me?" he says as bends forward while still pinning Priam down with his own legs. "You are the first person in my life I've had feelings for." he says as he puts a hand on Priam's cheek, cradling it gently as if it was the most fragile thing in the world. "I've spent my whole life, just sleeping with one person after the next. I thought you were gonna be no different, but I was wrong." [break][break]

His expression turned serious once again "We can worry about those bridges when we get there, we can handle it. Together." he tells him " I'll never regret any future where you're by my side. So, what do you say?"

does priam want this?

he asks the question internally, getting no answer back from his subconscious. there was nothing on things he always wanted, but he did claim 'love' among all the cheesy things he's been spewing about when asked about his wishes.

"i, uh, i'm not really sure..."

there's no superior to give him a general directive this time. the only protocol for relationships included not being on one. he has no other person to talk to in reference of happy and successful relationships.

on the flipside, making terrible decisions was his MO.

"i like being around you though."

priam lightens up. a smile returns to his face as he rests his hands on his waist, puffing his chest out as he makes his decision. skulking at the worst kinds of thoughts wasn't the image he wants to show anyways.

"that's reason enough, right? yeah! let's give it a try! can't really be priam conrad if i gave up this early, yeah?"

He liked being around bryan? That was as good as it was gonna get wasn't it, he let out a small sigh that teetered on the line of joy and annoyance as Priam liked to play games. His sigh turns into a smirk as he noticed Priam puffing his chest with his typical bravado and leaned in to kiss him. "Then why don't we get started?" he said as it was obvious as to what the two were about to get into.
