After the Slowbro had been dealt with accordingly, the Salamence returned back into the air, leaving Alexei down on the ground to search again.

“Alright, Gabe, I get it,” he chuckled as he looked around.

What else was he looking for… now that he had one Slowbro, he would need at least three more… three! Three more Slow-line Pokémon!

…but at the same time he was also looking for more of the strange letters, because who knew if he would be able to find another one and get lucky? And hopefully contribute more to that strange, cursed app that he’d decided to leave alone…

Before he could even react, a sudden burst of Hydro Pump very nearly blasted him off his feet. Where the hell had it come from, what was—

“Rude!” he shouted, very nearly sent flying had he not managed to duck out of the way and prevent himself from being knocked down. At the same time, a loud roaring noise came from the sky—and a swooping shadow came in with a snapping Thunder Fang attack.

“Shit, thanks for the save,” he said in the Salamence’s direction, before the Starmie released a sudden barrage of projectiles their way—a Swift attack.

The draconid blocked the attack; before lashing out with another Thunder Fang once he’d flown within range before sending the Starmie flying at his companion’s feet.

“Hey, thanks,” he said as he dropped a Pokéball on the Paralyzed Starmie.
