A number of Pokémon had been displaced as of late due to the snowfall in Hoenn, unusual fluctuations in climate causing them to migrate into the warmer areas of the region. Unfortunately this meant opportunities for poachers to swoop in and steal these discombobulated Pokémon from their families, cruelty that could only be found in the ranks of Team Rocket, of which Shiro knew all too well.

"How are you holding up, Mr. Wexler?" Shiro asked, turning to his superior with a glance. Trekking through the dense undergrowth around Fortree City wasn't easy, but seeing as they were the Ranger Captain for this section of the region, he didn't expect them to have much trouble.

Snowfall in a tropical place like Hoenn was a rare and unexpected sight, and while Vic enjoyed it thanks to the many memories of Unovan and Galarian winters that came with it, it was also worrisome to him. Most Hoennian pokémon weren’t used to weather like this, and that meant many of them probably wouldn’t adapt well.

Despite his worries, he smiled brightly as ever when looking at the trainee – his own words being justified by the Haxorus that swiftly cleared a path for them when the foliage became too dense. Having spent so much time in Fortree the past few months, he had grown used to this sort of thing, and Toffee definitely was of great help.
