It was good to take a break from the office. That’s what they all told her. Take a break, enjoy nature. And what luck! A beach so closeby. It was a cinch getting there. One of her colleagues had graciously lent her a flying type to ferry her and currently found itself lounging. All the while, Kennedy awkwardly paced around the beach, her Stufful at her side eagerly playing in the sand. “What do they expect me to do? Build a sandcastle?” she muttered to herself over the crash of the waves .

As she paced, she didn’t notice something had begun to follow her back and forth pacing on the sand. At first, she assumed it was her partner, the Stufful growing bored of playing by himself and following her once more. “Ah-! Oh-” she yelped looking down and seeing a curious Poliwag who stumbled back at her surprise. It leaned back into the sand for just a moment before popping back up and speaking to her. Right on cue, her Stufful dashed over in an attempt to entice the water type into a little game. All the while, Kenny moved to her bag to pull out a pokeball before slowly moving up on the water type and dropping her pokeball on top of it. Her Stufful protested at the interruption, but the scientist waved him off. “Hush, you’ll have the chance to play again.” She said as she waited for the pokeball to ding.
