It is far, far too cold for Yoshiro's liking, not that she would allow something as trivial as the weather interrupt a training session with her Zorua. She has high expectations for her companions, after all, expectations that she tries to tell herself are entirely in line with the way that Hoshiko is currently outfitted in little red boots and a little red coat to protect her from the chill.

Still, the little fox pokemon twines around her boots as she walks, uttering an indignant peep when her demands aren't heard.

"I'm not carrying you," Yoshiro advises, carefully avoiding looking at the Zorua as they walk, so her willpower will not be in further danger of compromise. "You ate half a box of mochi."

Ducking underneath a low branch dusted with crystalline snow, Yoshiro leads the way up into the grass, the little pokemon following with an irritable twitch of her fox-like tail and an offended snap at the former's bootlaces.

Hoshiko does, however, go abruptly still at the movement of something in the frost-limned greenery ahead, a sudden mischief overtaking her as she bounds into the grass to flush the wild pokemon therein up and out of hiding.

Let it never be said that Hoshiko does not do her job well, Yoshiro thinks to herself as she climbs along a half-felled tree to get free of the tall, frost-limned grass, hopping lightly back down onto the bare road as the first of the harried pokemon - a Snubbull - break from the edge of it and almost barrel straight into...

Hell. That girl again - Georgette Bluebottle.

"Watch out-" Yoshiro starts to shout, only to leap back abruptly when the hair on the back of her neck stands on end - the tree she only just clambered over erupting into shards of timber and ice mere seconds later, a Hydreigon looming where it had been.

"Oh, if you aren't the pettiest little bitch this side of Hoenn," she breathes with exasperation as Hoshiko slinks from the withered vegetation to settle smugly, and directly, between her boots. Not breaking eye contact with the dragon as it roars aloud, she makes no sudden movements, bending slowly to catch a broken branch from where it has landed and preparing, undoubtedly, to use it in her own defense.

Hoshiko, content to preen while the aggressive Hydreigon approaches, allows it to lumber one step, then two,...and then a full three toward Yoshiro, before taking action. Only when the shadow of the proverbial dragon falls over them does the little fox look up, sneeze once, which kicks up snow from the ground below, and then puff up considerably to offer her most SCARY FACE - a feat accomplished by virtue of on-end fur and copious illusions, and which seems to contain far too many teeth for so small a pokemon.

When the Hydreigon utters a warning call, retreating back into the grass, Yoshiro tosses her stick back onto the ground, another pointed look leveled at the now-sniggering Zorua before she turns toward the other trainer on the road.

"Good evening, Georgette."

And then, when the back of her boot is pounced on.

"I'm still not carrying you, Hoshi."

Yoshiro blinks slowly at Georgette Bluebottle's invitation, snowflakes gathering in her dark lashes from the BLIZZARD and expression thoroughly unreadable for a long moment. Flicking a glance toward the nearby Froslass and then its owner, she eventually assents with a subtly bemused, if cordial, "Yes. I could do that."

A disgruntled look crosses her features immediately afterward as she looks down the path and spots a silhouette miming in the distance.

"Hoshi," she instructs, snapping her fingers toward what she presumes is a Mr. Mime, "Take care of that."

As the Zorua romps off, chasing the offending mime back into the grass with seeming delight and a number of SCARY FACES, Yoshiro clears her throat lowly and attempts to make conversation, "So. What has you out this late? Doing a bit of training?"

"More or less," Yoshiro answered in an idle fashion, tattooed hands sliding into her pockets and a twitch to the corner of her lips as she observed Hoshiko's abrupt course correct, the little fox pokemon quite gleefully romping after a lumbering Coalossal in the tall grass. Her dark eyes squinted briefly as the Zorua TORMENTed the much larger beast, which soon disappeared further off. "Hoshi! That's far enough."

Another series of leaps and bounds carried the impudent little thing back, Hoshiko twining between the woman's feet as she made her way down the road alongside Georgette. Careful where she placed her boots so as not to step upon a paw or tail, Yoshiro nonetheless halted abruptly at the sudden appearance of FAKE TEARS, the Zorua's eyes wide and watery as it looked up at her.

"That doesn't work on me," she confided, bumping the little fox with the side of one shoe, at which it promptly collapsed upon the road in a fit of drama. Continuing to walk alongside the Kalosian woman, the yakuza called over her shoulder without looking, "If you don't get up, I'll let Tatsuo sleep on my pillow instead."

Tiny pawpads can be heard behind them soon after, as well as a pronounced huff of offense.

"So what do you do for a living?" Yoshiro inquired conversationally after a few minutes, dark eyes settling on Georgette with the question.

Removing a carton of cigarettes from her interior jacket pocket, Yoshiro taps one out and places it between her lips, doing a cursory check for a book of matches. She strikes one with a practiced motion, inhaling deeply of smoke once the cigarette is lit, and exhales politely to the side, though she does ask before replacing the carton, "Would you like one?"

"Security," Yoshiro answers in a smooth cadence, careful where she steps as she and the Zorua pass by the PROBOPASS in the tall grass with little regard for it. "Businesses, banks, the occasional celebrity."

If her timbre grew a little fond on that last note, who would notice? She didn't.

"What caught your interest in ice pokemon?" she inquires politely thereafter, narrowly avoiding having her bootlaces pounced upon as they walk. "He's doing well. We've been training him for protection work in the off hours."
