in all honesty, cian can't remember how they met. likely at a league event or a meeting of some kind. or was it at the slateport tournament? either way, they've become quite close. he'd even consider her a friend.

but he doesn't ask all his friends on dates. just the cute ones.

"hope you don't mind if we work up a bit of a sweat today."

"it's one of my favorite trails. we'll get it done within...three hours, give or take."

While Melody was a very hyper active girl, with constantly working and keeping active every day. [break][break]

However when she did exercise it was usually under her trainer's guidance. However at the mention of it being a three mile hike she stared at him. "Like three hours to and from?" she said in utter disbelief. [break][break]

"or like...total?" she asked as she continued to stare, but regardless of his answer she was a trooper, and quite a stubborn one at that. "Whelp. at least if we give up, we can just teleport out." she said making sure she had her strange new Relicanth with her.[break][break]

"Sweat isn't so bad, I get all gross during my performances so sweat isn't a bother."

"Oh thanks." she says rushing a little faster along the trail so that he could let go of the branch. [break][break]

After she was clear of the range she turned around and pulled the branch back to make it easy for him to go through as well. "Go go go go go" she said hurrying him to the other side. [break][break]

"I've always been really energetic hehe. My old dance teacher Whitney used to call me 'movin melly'" she laughed remembering how she used to torture the woman with her antics. "If you can't sing, what do you do? How do you spend your free time? Aside from, well, hiking." she asks wanting to know more about the man as she looked over to the ocean near the two of them.

it's catchy. fitting. suits her really well. what would his own nickname be, then?

"people call me cyber cian a lot. not really sure why."

but the online fanbase can be pretty weird so he doesn't question it.

taking a moment to glance out at the ocean as well, cian ponders on her question.

"i run a lot! i used to train my pokemon quite a bit, too. i mean i still do but that's more so work now so i don't count it."

sighing, he reaches around into his backpack for a bottle of water, offering it to smelly melly.

After a few moments of drinking she screws the cap back on and answers "It's weird, I'm used to do doing a lot more as a gym leader? It's less work over all but the job itself can be extremely stressful since we're sent in for really dangerous stuff." she answers earnestly. [break][break]

"But on the bright side, I get to focus a lot more on my music too."

Melody laughed. "They'd do more than just kill you. They're psychotic sometimes." she adds as the age of rabid fans was in full swing. She had to start hiding her appearance in public. Well, it was mostly cause she didn't tell them to leave her alone, she was too nice. [break][break]

She smiles when he begins to hum, he was so confidant, she liked that. She began to hum along as well and added her own lyrics. 'They say he likes a good time. my oh my.. He comes alive at midnight, everyyynight..' [break][break]

They had a hook, that was the biggest hurdle to overcome when it came to making music. Damn, that was easy, maybe she just needed inspiration?

"Oh trust me, that was the easiest part." She said shaking her finger at him as if scolding him. "There's a lot more that goes into a song than just the lyrics and melody" she says as he pitches the idea of the title. [break][break]

"Yeah that would make a good title, but now we got to think of an aesthetic for the song, what kind of instruments? Should it be the main feature? Will another artist join in on it for a different version?" she said throwing a bunch of other factors into it. [break][break]

She peered over the nearby edge of the mountain. "Ohhh. Seems like I just had an idea, wanna head off the beaten path?" she asked as she stretched a hand out for him to come with her.

She laughed, it seemed like Cian didn't know everything about this path. "Look over there!" she said pointing out to a small little beach she had spotted near the cliff. However the path down was a little be dangerous so she released her Noivern that had scooped them both up. [break][break]

She leapt off of her dragon, taking off her shoes to feel the sand on her feet. She plopped onto the sand "God I love the beach. You don't mind if we just relax here do you?" she asked as Noivern took to the skies again, flying in loops and circles above them.
