If there was one thing Miette wishes he could discourage, it was this. He wasn't sure how he had even been dragged along. It was a flurry of commotion and- maybe his Pokemon, considering Miette wasn't very intimidating himself- that had landed him in this situation.

At least, once he had arrived on the scene, it hadn't seemed that bad. Something small that he could maybe, potentially, help break up. With the help of Expresso, his Dragonair, at least; no offense to Capuccino, but she wasn't exactly intimidating, and Mocha would find a way to escalate things.

Now, Miette just had to deal with trying to scare them away with his Pokemon. Which, considering he was fucking terrified himself, was easier said than done. Still, he tried to manage as much courage as he could (which, honestly, was not a lot and he wasn't ashamed to admit that), speaking up through the remaining commotion.

Kep yawned and didn’t bother to cover his mouth. It was an anxiety thing, something common in animals; yawning to fill the space. Yawning to fill the time. Yawning to cover up the fact that he felt extremely uncomfortable here in the outside world without four metal walls to cover him. He pulled down on his sweater and sighed. His legs dangled off the wall of a multi-story parking garage looking down at his attempt at doing something outside of his research

“Chaos theory,” he said to Pluto, his Beheeyem, who hovered nearby, “is the study of apparent random or unpredictable behavior in systems governed by deterministic laws.” He kicked his black tennis shoes together, like a child on the swingset. “It is commonly believed that the world is unpredictable because it is complicated.”

Case in point-- Kep had used Pluto’s weird, alien, Beheeyem powers to screw with a very crowded intersection’s traffic lights, causing multiple greens in different directions, resulting in no less than a sixteen car pileup, and traffic backed up for miles across multiple lanes in all four directions. There was a distant wail of sirens-- but the red-haired Leaguer was first on the scene.

“Shucks,” Kep muttered, having hoped regular fire and safety would show up soon and relieve him of his chaos-causing duties. Unfortunately, it was in his contract, somewhere, that when it came to the League, he had to give ‘er hell. He knew @miette was League because he stepped in and attempted to take control-- attempted being the keyword here, sort of like how Kepler attempted at being a good Rocket. Admittedly, his job was far easier.

He pulled down his black domino mask and waved Pluto over; she scooped him up on an arm and levitated down closer to street level, just above the chaos. There was so much going on, no one really paid him any notice.

“This looks like it’s going well for you,” he called down to the red-haired stranger, voice ringing with boredom. Closer now, Kepler could see the green of his eyes, slight reddening in his face.
