Why and how did this always happen when Malik was off-duty jogging, this had been at least the 7th time he caught a building catching fire while he was away from his own town, he had come here to catch a break and not to work more but he was always there before even the fire department, was he cursed to forever fight fires till his own flame was to be extinguished? He hoped not, he wanted to catch a break sometime, enjoy the time with his pokemon, grow old and maybe have a family but here lay another challenge in front of him in the shape of a burning building. People evacuating, directions being thrown around left and right, people calling the fire fighters, the panic he had gotten used to. Helping some people exit the building himself hoping that everyone had left safely but of course that was a question that no one could safely answer right now. Despite being the wrong action to take at this moment Malik was ready to go in and search as much as possible.[break][break]

Thankfully he had his loyal Arcanine by his side and they were both ready to conquer the flames. "Sniff em' out boy!" Malik would say before him and his partner rushed into the burning building in search of anyone in trouble. He knew he had to be fast and precise, he had no time to lose for him and for anyone that might have been caught by debris or simply in too much panic to leave on their own, he wouldn't let anyone be hurt while he was here.[break][break]

Great... When she thought she found a great place to stay for the day after she is barely able to get to sleep last night due to searching for this place. In the small area on the top of the building where there is only a locked door to the rooftop and no one ever come to that place - that kind of place is a heaven for her to be formed as her small base to rest. Yet, as if fate is trying to spit on her and kicks her while laughing, the place is roaring into flame and it quickly surrounds the place. "You must be kidding me!" Ann shouts in annoyance followed up with coughs as the smoke starts to creep upward. 'Shit, what to do.... what to do...?' Ann pace backward and forward not knowing what to do, the only stairs to go downstairs are blocked by a flame. Her Hisuian Zorua cries worriedly and Ann picks her up and snuggles her - "We will be safe buddy, we will be safe" She tries to sound convincing not just to soothe Zee but also herself. She tried to open the door to the rooftop and still find that it locks since it is a metal door - It would be hard for someone with her stature to break the door even if she puts all of her weight on it. Ann crouches trying to think... But she needs to think fast, her place has no ventilation making all of the smoke that rise upward is collected at that place.

Bursting through the door like thunder were the two, the trainer and his loyal Arcanine, running and checking every corner as best as they could in the small amount of time they had, the building was decently sized but he was sure he could make it in time, even if there was no one in there he had to make sure, it was what he promised himself a long time ago. Rushing through door to door, shouting and screaming to see if someone would respond but so far everything seemed to be fine other than the burning building that he was inside of. Having to take out his Croconaw from time to time when there was a fire he couldn't get past but at the same time clearing out a path so he could come back later.[break][break]

Getting close the highest point of the building he could hear a door being attempted to be open, but even before he could react his Arcinine was already on the move, hopping and jumping through fires and flames and waiting for his master at the destination. Once again Malik was using his Croconaw to wet his way to the locked door, smoke coming up from the lower floors, he was quickly losing time and he had to move. "STAND AWAY FROM THE DOOR!" He would shout hoping the person in the other side would hear. BLAZE! EXTREME SPEED YOUR WAY THROUGH!" He knew that fire retardant doors were tough but he also knew his pokemon could do it. [break][break]

As Blaze burst through the door, Malik would be right behind searching for whoever was locked up in there. "I'M HERE TO HELP! LET'S GO!" He was hoping the other person was not hurt or unconscious at this time, if they could both escape on their own feet it would be the optimal route here. "PLEASE RESPOND!" Visibility getting worse and worse as they spent time up there and breathing becoming harder and harder. They needed to get out.[break][break]

The smoke getting denser and denser yet Ann has no way to know what she should do. Zee tries to scratch her way through the metal door but there are barely any scratches. Ann right now already assumes a crawling position where the smoke hasn't reached yet. She wants to walk downstairs but there is a flame blocking its way and if she tries to jump from the gap... Well, she would get hurt and that is bad. [break][break]

Suddenly, her ears perk up when she heard a faint noise from downstairs. She is not sure exactly if it was a hallucination or not but a glimmer of hope rose within her heart as well as an idea pops into her head. "Zee, Dee... I need your help! Bring whoever downstairs to here to save me!" Ann plead and both of her pokemon nodded energetically. Ann picks the Dewpider and Hisuian Zorua on her hand and quickly yeet them away passing the flame. Dee swings using her string while grabbing Zee with her legs and manages to land safely. Both of them quickly rush to the source of the voice and find @malik downstairs busy saving people. Zee jumps and headbutts Malik trying to pull his attention to her. Dee tries to point to the rooftop with her leg. [break][break]

Meanwhile, on the top where Ann was, she is hugging a bag where she put her vigilante outfit with her. Then suddenly she remembered something - "CRAP! I COULD HAVE USED DEE'S BUBBLE BEAM!" Ann shouts feeling dumb because of the panic. Either way, she is right now trying to wear her vigilante outfit but with how she is constantly coughing, it is proven to be tricky

Finding one lost person wasn't enough, he had to keep going. till the top floor, he had to make sure there was no one else left behind. Putting his life on the line was what he had vouched for and it was what he would do because there was nothing better than seeing the safe faces of people and pokemon alike. Moving through rooms and stairs as fast as he could, full focus ahead, trying to find noise or even the slight noise that could mean someone was till there waiting to be helped.[break][break]

While tunnel vision his way up the stairs suddenly he was introducing his face into a Hisuian Zorua who came flying at him from higher up. The little guy had come out of nowhere but that wasn't the only one there, there was another little guy with it, a dewpider. Were they running away from the fire? Were they abandoned by their owner? None of those options seemed to be the right one at all. The two little ones seemed to be trying to lead Malik somewhere, must have been where their owner was.[break][break]

Malik would follow the two up the staircase, helping the two whenever he could, using the Croconaw to take out fires here and there so they could move with ease, using his Arcanine to bust through the anti fire doors, the only thing that probably kept whoever was up there alive. Bursting through the door into the room that the two pokemon had led him to. "HELLO! YOUR POKEMON BROUGHT ME HERE! HELLO" Malik would shout through the smoke trying to find someone. [break][break]
