"ROAR!" A crash sounded from the café's kitchen as Incineroar's distinctive bellow reached Xiura's ears.

Xiura shook her head, continuing to arrange a bouquet of long-stemmed orchids in the vase Aurelie Lefevre had gifted her at the Cultural Festival.

Incineroar clearly needed to blow off some steam. Xiura enjoyed the comfortingly repetitive and therefore meditative qualities of baking, and occasionally the odd flower arrangement.

"ROOOARRRR." Xiura heard more crashes of metal.

Unfortunately, some personalities needed outlets that were decidedly more physical than creative.

Xiura sighed, then nodded at Hatterene to continue with the flowers so that she could see what was inciting Incineroar's frustration. Hatterene chimed lightly, then began snipping and arranging the flower stems in various positions. Hatterene had attended the same homemaking classes as Xiura ever since she was a young Hattena, so Xiura had full faith in the psychic Pokemon's ability.

"Incineroar, what's all this fuss?" Xiura said with practiced lightness as she entered the kitchen. A slew of pots and other metal cookware were scattered across the floor as she caught Incineroar mid-pose, lunging forth on one leg as he mimicked the flexed, powerful pose of a Machamp featured on a flier taped to the wall.

"Oh, what's this?" She looked curiously at the colorful advertisement for the new wrestling reality show featuring colorfully-costumed Pokemon. "Missing the ring, are you, Incineroar?"

Incineroar grumbled, dropping his flexed pose to pout and scuff at the floor with one big padded foot.

"I'm sure we can find someone to match your gusto for wrestling in the Safari Zone later," Xiura thought aloud, patting Incineroar on the forearm with sympathy. "Maybe a Heracross or a Scyther."

Incineroar rumbled lowly in agreement just as the faint, silvery ring of the front door filtered into the kitchen. Xiura looked up. "Oh, a customer!"

Beau enters into the comparatively cool air of the café with a sigh of relief, shutting the door behind him with more care that it might appear he possesses before lifting his sunglasses to rest atop his head and fanning his face with his other hand. "Brah, you could fry an egg out there." He frowns meditatively, scrubbing against his forehead with the back of his hand to halfheartedly mop the sweat from his brow as he contemplates. "Wonder if you -actually- could...think of the sandwiches..."

He shakes himself free of his reverie, looking around and finding not much of anyone to bounce this avant-garde theory of egg cookery off of. In the absence of being able to engage on that particular train of thought, he approaches the counter, adjusting his bag over his shoulder and glancing about.

"Er, hello?" he calls, his jaunty baritone perhaps a -little- too loud for the shop, "Are you open? I'd super appreciate a cold drink, if you, uh, got anything like that!" He punctuates this with a winning, toothy smile, not that anyone is around to be charmed by it.

Xiura urges Incineroar forward to greet the visitor at the front, saying, "Go greet our guest! I need to put all these metal pots away." With a flash of carmine light, Hatterene exits her Pokéball from Xiura's waist satchel and starts levitating cookware into their proper places on wall hooks and various cabinets without asking.

Incineroar grumbles and pushes through the door leading to the front of Bubble, Bubble Tea and Trouble Café. He stands before Beau Fontaine , looking the muscular man up and down and harrumphing in clear disdain.

With a final thud of the cabinets closing, Xiura wipes her brow. "Thanks, Hatterene. I appreciate your help. You can rest again if you like." Hatterene chimes, mimicking a yawn as she covers her mouth with the end of her ponytail-like appendage, and flashes back into her Pokéball home.

Xiura hurries out to the front of the café, surprised to see Incineroar staring down a lone customer in the shop. "Hello! Have you been helped?" She barely holds back from eyeing Incineroar with judgmental concern.

Incineroar glances toward Xiura briefly. "Roar," he utters to Beau with the barest undertone of civility, standing at the register. He sweeps an arm across the laminated menu on the countertop as though to ask what the customer wants. "Roar." He then folds his arms across his chest and waits, his biceps and pectoral muscles flexing wildly as he does so.

"Incineroar!" Xiura says, shocked, trying to nudge Incineroar aside from his position behind the counter. "I'm so sorry; my name is Xiura and I"m the owner of this café. It's so nice to have you here."

Beau blinks as the Incineroar is the first to emerge from the back of the cafe to greet him, though it's perhaps less a greeting and more a study in reticence. He meets the feline's gaze steadily, the contest broken only by Xiura's entrance. He looks to her, giving a bemused shrug. "Hey, hi," he offers in her direction before turning his attention back to Incineroar. "I was hoping for a cold drink, not a cold reception."

The feline's posturing is not lost on him, and neither is the terse attitude, though he's experienced enough of both with his own pokémon. He unshoulders his bag, letting it drop to the floor as he stands straighter, squaring his stance and coming to his full height. He's got a few inches on the other pokémon and at least twenty pounds, by his measure, and thus doesn't feel too badly about his own subtle flexing, clasping his hands in front of his chest and cracking his knuckles slowly.

"You havin' a bad day, brah? he inquires of the Incineroar, canting his head to one side slightly. A bright smile colors his features, but his eyes, regarding the other pokemon, remain flinty, and his body language is tense, speaking of readiness to leap across the counter with the slightest provocation.

"Or are you -lookin'- for one?"

Incineroar smirks aggressively at Beau Fontaine , running a tongue along the sharp, glinting teeth lining his maw. "Incineroarrrrr." He raises both arms to flex his biceps, showing off bulging musculature. He points rudely at Beau, and jerks both thumbs at his own chest. The implication is clear: Incineroar is ready to destroy and gobble his prey whole.

Looking back and forth between the two with a mounting sense of panic, Xiura blurts out, "No! Wait, please, let's take a minute and calm down."

If the police were to come by and witness Incineroar assaulting a customer... Xiura shakes her head, refusing to consider the possibilities. She bites her bottom lip and, thinking quickly, rushes to the front door, locks it, and flips the sign to display "CLOSED". Wasting no time, she links arms with Incineroar to bodily usher him towards the back.

"If this is going to happen, please, not at the front. Incineroar, go to the back." He is reticent at first, refusing to budge, but Xiura cajoles, "There's more room for you to experiment with your moves, okay? You'll need way more room for your corkscrew piledriver."

She smiles at him, fondness sneaking its way into her stressed expression. She remembers all the late nights she would stay up with him when he was only a Litten, secretly watching pro wrestling on television while her traditional-minded mother thought she was fast asleep. She would always be dead-tired serving customers at the teahouse the next day, but it was always worth it to see Litten's bright eyes glued to the screen.

Soon enough, she has both Beau and Incineroar in the back alley behind the boba tea cafe. "Thank you both for your cooperation. Now," she claps her hands, "Let us properly begin."

She calls on Hatterene, who appears before them in a flash of red light. "Hatterene, Wonder Room! Give us an arena!" In response, Hatterene chimes sonorously, pouring forth a powerful surge of pure psychic energy. Instantly, a wrestling ring appears, elevating Beau and Incineroar above the ground; a strange, wondrous room surrounds all four of them in a shimmering box of glittering lavender light and strange angles.

Xiura emits a small sigh of relief that they are concealed from prying eyes, then quickly straightens and gestures to Incineroar. "In this corner, the defender! Incineroar, the Combustible Champion!" Xiura barely suppresses a laugh as Incineroar bellows with joy, beating his chest with alternating fists for an imaginary audience of spectators.

"And in this corner..."

Xiura hesitates, looking at Beau. "I'm sorry, I don't believe we've formally—"

"ROARRRRR." Incineroar shoots forward in a blaze of red and black across the center of the ring, tackling Beau to the floor.

"Oh, a Spear move! Excellent form!" Xiura claps her hands with surprised delight.

While Beau is still prone, Incineroar climbs onto the turnbuckle padding at the corner of the ring, clearly aiming to bodyslam Beau. "And now he's climbing up to gain some altitude on his opponent! What special move could Incineroar be planning next?"

The tension developing between Beau and the erstwhile feline barista is defused at Xiura's interruption. The man's shoulders relax slightly as he turns to regard her with a raised eyebrow. When she moves to close the front of the shop, he grunts, turning his attention back to Incineroar with a glare.

His attention is quickly diverted again as the WONDER ROOM takes form around them, causing him to backpedal a step or two. This, unfortunately, leaves him woefully unprepared for the crimson-and-black blur that slams bodily into him, tackling him to the ground with a juddering impact that causes his head to crack painfully against the floor, a grunt of pain escaping him.

Xiura's commentary goes largely unheard in favor of a sudden and persistent ringing that resounds in his head from either ear. Rolling onto his side, he groans, shaking his head slowly as he attempts to get an elbow up in order to reclaim a vertical position. The ringing in his ears and his swimming vision make that somewhat difficult, and as he blinks rapidly in an attempt to make the room stop rippling, he notices
the Fire-type lumbering up on the turnbuckle and curses, abandoning his attempt to rise in favor of rolling away from the launch point.
