nfortunate turn of events. The exercise was all for naught but in the end Atticus was okay with the end result. He had to skip his gym session today because of the mission so as far as he knew that was the exercise of the day. "A shame. Pushing your body does wonders to one's health." He would say checking if he had gotten dirty anywhere else, trying to keep his appearances up as much as possible.

Following Theo's gaze as he scanned the beach and pointed towards one of the Wailord that had yet to be touched or moved by anyone. "I see. It does look to be the one in the weakest state." Very likely to have been on of the first ones to get beached therefore one of the ones who has been out of their natural habitat for the longest time too.

Before answering the final question Atticus would scan the sands himself before returning his eyes towards Theo. "No. Not particularly. It was mostly curiosity to see if there was something special about one of them or if they were all pretty much the same." Atticus was exactly trained in the trainer ways, that had not been the way he grew up or the crowd he had been part of. He knows how to control his own pokemon but he wouldn't know a thing about recognizing the potential in wild pokemon.

shades of theo's adoration for aquatic pokemon finally show as he starts walking towards the smaller of the wailords on the beach. he'd taken a keen interest in it, unsurprisingly.[break][break]

tticus was beginning to understand the man in front of him a little better. So far the members that he had met were all way more human and normal than what he had anticipated, he had expected cold heart people that were ready to do anything and step on anything to get what they wanted done. On a small scale that seemed to be what Team Rocket was when you only looked at the loose canons that made headlines here and there whenever something crazy happened, right now Atticus only saw a person a good person who was helping pokemon and there was charm in that simple act.

"I guess you're right!" Atticus would give a slight nod of approval at the man's answer. Pokemon were very much like humans all unique in their ways, it's probably what made the two species work so well together. Different ways to be raised meant the outcome would also differ, different trainers, different capture occasions. Anything could change the way a pokemon was with a person and vice versa.

As they walked towards Theo's chosen Wailord Atticus would take a bit to think about his answer, not because he didn't want to offend Theo but because he hadn't really spent time thinking about it. He didn't have a type specifically that he preferred. "I've had my Persian, Emperor for many years and he's always been by my side but I've never had a type preference at all." Atticus' choices had always been sporadic to say the least and that also counted towards pokemon. Often time Atticus did care more about his pokemon than those around him, it was harder for a pokemon to betray you and it was much better to have things that you grew to love and trust around you.

"good choice. there are a number of rocket personnel that are fond of the persian line as well."[break][break]

from what he hears, theo knows they can be loyal and affectionate creatures. he's never quite experienced it himself, however, which seems fair considering how felines hate fishies.[break][break]

shame. fishies are amazing.[break][break]

"type preferences are overrated, in my opinion. it sticks you in a pigeonhole. makes you a really easy fight."

t was ultimately true. Atticus was sure he had heard something similar from Eris. Perhaps one day they would all be able to sit in the same room and just talk about their Persians have tea, what a beautiful day that would have been. Peaceful and quiet beyond comprehension. "I've heard about that from the little Rocket Elite when I had to babysit her for a day." It was a weird memory to have when it came to being part of Team Rocket.

"I agree they are overrated." Atticus would say with a few small nods of agreement. "Pokemon battles have never been my thing but I'd assume sticking to one type would be the easiest way to lose... Did get in fist fight in a bar with Rowan so that's where most of my fighting experience went." Which was true, as much as he trained his body it was for aesthetic reasons and not for battle reasons even though it still helped being fit in the long run.

"I'm guessing we're safe to capture the big lad since it shouldn't have much fight left in it right?" For th emost part he was just unsure if they could just do it in front of everyone like this.

ow was Rowan? Atticus had to think a little bit about this, by the end of the night they did look better than the idiots they had beaten up and all for a small amount of protection money. It was one hell of a night but he was glad that it wasn't babysitting, as far as Atticus went he would have more fun spending time in a bar fight than watching over someone who was old enough and a higher ranking than he was. "I'd say he held his own pretty well. The other guys were definitely looking worse than we were at the end of the night."

"Oh." Atticus would say as the energy from the pokeball took the pokemon from right in front of his eyes. "That was rather nonchalant but we take those wins." Atticus was curious what would happen with the pokemon if it wasn't deemed worthy of someone of Beast rank or even an Elite. Atticus wouldn't mind keeping the poor wailord if it ends up not having an owner. "What kind of tests does it go though at Sootopolis?" An honest to heart question.
