A loud, wheezing groan of a yawn sounded through the air.[break][break]

”God… Years of experience or not, mornings can go fuck themselves…” the woman murmured, softly pressing the tip of a finger against the corner of one of her eyes. With a soft sigh, she rubbed against it while also lifting a coffee (much needed, and honestly, her only lifeline in the earlier hours of the day) to take a much needed sip.[break][break]

She glanced to the side as a certain snake slithered up with a group of smaller creatures in tow, humming and laughing as it bumped her in passing.[break][break]

”Yeah, bitch, I know~...” she sighed in faux exasperation, watching the beast slither further forward before finally beginning to follow along, as well. She took another sip. ”A’ight… Let’s get the ball rolling, then~...”

Seemed like the birds were business as usual, at least.[break][break]

A few chirps and the like had been all that was needed for her to turn a gaze towards the skies— and just in time to catch a flash of crimson streaking by her before settling down upon the branches of a nearby tree. Instinctively, a grin of equal parts amusement and appreciation tugged upon her lips as she whistled in the bird’s direction, giggling softly as she earned another chirp in response.[break][break]

”Man. Cute ass baby…” she hummed to herself, taking another sip from the coffee in her hands as she continued on.[break][break]

Just a number of paces later, and she would’ve found herself stopping to glance (tiredly) in the direction of a more or less familiar cry.[break][break]

As her own Pokemon continued onward to scout the route ahead, the sight of a Meganium ambling towards her was one to quickly meet her senses not too long after she stopped to discern where the sound had come from. Honestly speaking, the sheer energy it had while making its way put her off guard, and out of instinct, she took a couple of steps back out of instinctive fear of being trampled over.[break][break]

Thankfully, those fears were lulled as she noted it stop just a foot or so in front of her.[break][break]

She stared at it.[break]
It stared back.[break][break]

After some time, she reached towards a pack on her belt, plucking a treat from its inner pockets to hold it up towards the creature, a surprised gasp of a giggle escaping her lips as it was snagged from the tips of her fingers just as quickly as she offered it. Staring up towards the grass type, she stifled an amused smile upon her lips as it gobbled the snack down before carefully and softly reaching up to pet the beast.[break][break]

”Aww~. Who’s a cutie…?” she cooed, only finding herself laughing again as the floral Pokemon reared his head back with another cry of content, repeatedly patting his front feet on the ground.[break][break]

After some thought, she brought her hand back to her belt again, but rather than fetching another treat, she pulled a spare Pokeball out before tapping it against the reptilian’s shoulder.[break][break]

”I’ll introduce ya to the others when we’re done here~.”[break][break]
