Standing over six feet tall, Cade Atreides saunters onto his end of the tournament mat and crosses his muscular arms as he assesses his opponent with a single blue eye. He wears a black tank top, black belt with golden buckle, and black trousers tucked into a pair of laced boots at the ankles. A PASSIMIAN hangs from his shoulders.

When the blonde utters a short chirp, however, the lemur climbs off and leaps towards the center of the arena. It lands with a poised pirouette, seamlessly shifting into a handstand before landing down on all fours again. Though it clearly didn't have the greatest muscle mass, it most certainly quite athletic and dexterous.

"Start when you're ready," He says to the youth standing across from him (ruslan skye ). "Don't hold back."

Another match, another performance. After getting berated for breaking character by Freddy, Ruslan took a deep breath to steel himself and try to act like his pokemon. Confident, nonchalant, effortless. He didn't have all the wild swagger of his Scrafty, but he easily plastered a relaxed, almost smug smile as he took his spot on the pitch. [break][break]

His clothes are casual, tight fitting joggers, bright sneakers, a simple black t-shirt and a light jacket that refused to stay on his shoulders and bunch up around the elbows. Red eyes meet a single bleu one, and he replied with a curt, "Sure." before looking at his Scrafty who's hands were in their pockets much like his trainer. They saunter towards the other side of the arena, taking their sweet time to get meet their opponent. Though once close enough Freddy's foot moves quickly, intent on a spinning kick to get the ball rolling.

A spinning kick only serves to rile Joaquin up further. He stomps his feet and crouches back. Then, crossing the distance with a leap and a roll, the lemur attempts to counter with whirling helicopter blade kicks of his own.

He's a Hitmontop in a Passimian's body, Cade thinks, with the added benefit of an extra limb hanging off his rear end for counterweight. In the flurry of movement, however, it's difficult to tell who is going to strike first. Though he's confident Joaquin's swift movements were likely to catch the Scrafty off-guard.

Freddy is oushed back, hit a couple of yime before hding up his arms to block the redt of the kicks. "Tch," he's clearly not happy about this. Neither is Lana obviously, but he's more worried about how his pokemon is holding up. It looked like a pretty few solid kicks. But Freddy is undeterred, rushing in again with a headbutt intent on at least dazing his opponent if he could.

The headbutt is a surprise. Joaquin's capoeira-style movements are interrupted in a bid to try and avoid it. This pushes the Passimian slightly off-balance, however. And, even then, one of his legs are struck by the blow.

He stumbles off to the side as he regains composure, then performs a swift handstand before attempting to connect a pair of upside-down rapid kicks to the Scrafty's head. Cade watches with a serious gaze.

Freddy stands strong after the headbutt, ready to take on whatever Joaquin had to give next. As they send back rapid fire kicks, Freddy did his best to intercept. He waited until the perfect opportunity before trying to slap the Passimian away with a Whirling Kick.

They appear to be evenly matched! Cade is impressed. A pair of kicks meet in mid-air before the two disengage and go back to their fighting stances.

Sharing his trainer's spirit for battle, however, Joaquin the Passimian charges in on the offensive again. It drops to the ground and spins using the momentum of its hips, delivering its own whirlwind of kicks like a set of helicopter blades. If the audience didn't know better, it looked like the lemur was break-dancing to a funky beat!

The crowd seems to swell in excitement at the strange move but Freddy tries not to stare. Any other time he'd watch but those feet were aimed right for his face! The Scrafty instead hops up high before coming down hard with his fist, hoping coming from above would give him a better chance at landing a hit.

The Scrafty's punch is well-timed! It manages to strike Joaquin's right leg before throwing him off balance completely. It shrieks angrily and huffs.

"Curb your anger, and put it into your next strike. Go!" Cade commands, pointing forward and pushing his Passimian to charge. It attempts a whopping roundhouse kick.
