the trio of league members all aboard the gyarados express but it never makes lift off. the
HEAVY GRAVITY keeps the flying type grounded but that doesn't stop it from slithering a few feet above ground, snaking its way to the side and trying desperately to get out of the blast radius of the inevitable
SOLAR BEAM. unfortunately, the pokemon's speed and lack of altitude makes that
near impossible.[break][break][break]
luckily,
ALEXANDER STONE's gallade is there to save the day. it uses
TELEPORT several moments before the
SOLAR BEAM obliterates them, able to the see the very white of the attack that wants to end their lives. everyone within the
immediate vicinity of the gallade end up disappearing only to reappear somewhere else on the field.[break][break][break]
those that the gallade are physically touching:
ALEXANDER STONE and
Dallas Rhodes gyarados end up
several meters in mid-air. they're clear of the blast radius and not too far from
priam conrad and @delphi. the gallade and
ALEXANDER STONE are
no longer riding the gyarados but underneath it.
GRAVITY comes into effect and
all three are bound to fall atop those below![break][break][break]
kim cole-essam,
Dallas Rhodes,
Rhian McArthur's klefki, which were not directly touching
ALEXANDER STONE's gallade end up
TELEPORTING several meters closer to the beast, several meters above the
SOLAR BEAM. with the way the
GRAVITY pulls at them, they'll feel their lives escape them as they plummet into the lingering
SOLAR BEAM. at least until
it cuts out moments before they fall into it. now all they have to clear is the height from which they're dropping. it's
not lethal but it'll hurt like hell.[break][break][break]

the
FLAME BURST from
priam conrad's arcanine lands on top of the large pokemon's metal plating and explodes brilliantly. an off shoot of flames dance outwardly when the attack hits but the fires don't do much more then lick at the metal surface. when they subside the pokemon seems exactly the same.[break][break][break]
@delphi tries as well and the
AURA SPHERE lands a clean hit on the other side of the pokemon's steel plates. again, no reaction. there's a
slight scuff mark where the attack lands but it's
invisible from such a distance. her flareon's
FIRE SPIN lands and starts the skirt around the pokemon's frame. it expands and looks to envelope it in flames but the pokemon's huge constitution proves impossible to surround. the
FIRE SPIN still lingers but seems to die off as it can't feed off itself. however, the attack lasts considerably longer then anything else and the teal plate seems
a bit brighter in the spot where the flames had persisted. [break][break][break]
lucius hallows' attempt will be as fruitful as
priam conrad's. the
ICE BEAM hits and the ice starts to coat a small section of the pokemon's huge mass. the ice settles and the ice seems like a
small scab on the pokemon's huge body. between the pokemon remaining unmoving the attack has
no obvious effect.[break][break][break]
Rhian McArthur and @leonardo scramble for their respective
TELEPORTERS. the couple hold hands but being pulled between the alakazam and clefable splits them apart. if @leonardo is conscious enough to feel the uncharacteristic tug during
TELEPORT he may be able to surmise why it spits them out in a different destination then where they intended. [break][break][break]
Rhian McArthur and her clefable end up three meters in mid-air, toward
lucius hallows' direction but no where close enough to interact with. she's out of the
SOLAR BEAMS blast range and enters a free fall. like everyone else, this height is
non-lethal but will certain hurt if she hits the ground undeterred.[break][break][break]
@leonardo, his alakazam, and
Rhian McArthur's swanna end up much higher and much closer to the strange pokemon. they clear the attack by a good distance but from this height, landing without some way to mitigate the impact could prove lethal. from the angle he's falling, he can spot
kim cole-essam,
Dallas Rhodes, and
Rhian McArthur's klefki underneath him and just a few meters farther away, farther from the pokemon then he is.[break][break][break]

indeed, that's the last move @leonardo's alakazam can muster. the pain, the numbing cold that tickles at the pokemon's exposed skin; it all hurts and the pokemon's mentally dying inside. it wants nothing more then a release, to let go and make the pain go away. it suffers for what seems like an eternity. but the world is not done with it yet. despite being alive and being killed a million times over it persist. the last of its mental prowess is spent making sure @leonardo is okay. "
i'm sorry but i'm so tired. be safe." that's the last time @leonardo will hear a telepathic thought from his pokemon as it closes its eyes, losing consciousness as the pokemon
enters a state of neurogenic shock.[break][break][break]
Rhian McArthur's swanna is spared of the same fate due to the
AQUA RING. it is in no better shape then the alakazam but the
AQUA RING soothes the pokemon's pain. in time, the pokemon's body will fail, but its consciousness remains somewhat shaky, preventing it from going into shock as long as it
doesn't strain itself too much.[break][break][break]
the
SOLAR BEAM subsides and everyone is given
30 seconds of peace as the arms move again. they end up aiming towards the same direction as the attacks launched, right at
priam conrad and @delphi. what comes out is not an instant beam of energy but an unending
FLAMETHROWER. the flames that spill out eat at anything caught in its path. due to their fall and their proximity that means
ALEXANDER STONE,
ALEXANDER STONE's gallade, and
Dallas Rhodes' gyarados too if they're not careful. the trees and plant life in the way catch on fire immediately. the
RAIN finally subsides and just in time for it for the
FLAMETHROWER to roast everything alive. [break][break][break]

SUMMARY OF ACTIONS TAKEN:

- Dallas Rhodes and kim cole-essam return all their current pokemon. Dallas Rhodes summons his gyarados above the hole they're hiding in and everyone inside grabs onto the pokemon as it tries to fly off. the GRAVITY prevents it from leaving more then a few feet off the ground and ALEXANDER STONE's gallade TELEPORTS them out of the way.
- ALEXANDER STONE, ALEXANDER STONE's gallade, and Dallas Rhodes' gyarados end up several meters above @delphi and priam conrad. they're falling down and will right on top of them.
- kim cole-essam, Dallas Rhodes, and Rhian McArthur's klefki end up much higher and meters above the SOLAR BEAM. they're a bit closer to the pokemon as well. they'll falling into the SOLAR BEAM due to GRAVITY but the attack ends right before they touch it. they'll falling toward the floor.
- the RAIN washes away the vomit on priam conrad's arcanine.
- priam conrad calls out to @delphi right before his arcanine shoots a FLAME BURST at the pokemon. it hits but nothing else happens.
- @delphi almost throws up.
- @delphi summons her flareon. her flareon uses FIRE SPIN and lucario uses AURA SPHERE. it hits and the spot that the FIRE SPIN hits seems a little brighter.
- lucius hallows arrives late but is prepared with his alolan ninetales and bastiodon. the alolan ninetales uses ICE BEAM and the bastiodon prepares for retaliation with PROTECT.
- @leonardo and Rhian McArthur climb out of the hole. @leonardo recalls all his pokemon except alakazam which uses TELEPORT on itself, @leonardo, Rhian McArthur, and Rhian McArthur's swanna. Rhian McArthur calls out her clefable and it uses TELEPORT on itself, Rhian McArthur, and @leonardo. the conflicting TELEPORTS separate them.
- Rhian McArthur ends up several meters in the air and away from where she was last at.
- @leonardo ends up much higher and much closer to the pokemon. his alakazam leaves one last message before entering shock. @leonardo, his alakazam, and Rhian McArthur' swanna start to fall. they can see Dallas Rhodes, kim cole-essam, and Rhian McArthur's klefki underneath them, a few meters farther away from their position in regards to the unknown pokemon.
- the pokemon aims its rods at @delphi and priam conrad before unleashing a FLAMETHROWER. the attack is not instantaneous but is much more vicious then the previous attacks. the fire eats up anything in its path. the FLAMETHROWER never stops.
- the RAIN subsides!
- HEAVY GRAVITY is in effect!
- the terrain is MUDDY.
