Despite the obvious commotion behind him, Dallas kept his attention focused in front of him. If they could get rid of the roots, maybe it could help stop this thing. He gave a nod to Alexander as he arrived onto the scene. For a second, it seemed to work. Life returning to the ground around them. Then the roots sprung up again. This time entangling them and swiftly draining life from the pair and their Pokemon. The wave of fatigue and dizziness took Dallas by surprise. He had to put all his effort into keeping balanced and not immediately succumbing to the Giga Drain.[break][break]

“Keep going, Gengar.” The ghost type, enraged by the roots made sure to use Payback first in an attempt to kill and knock the roots off before using Hypnosis once more on the Pokemon before them. The effects seemed minimal, if existent at all. It was worth a shot all the same.[break][break]

“Emboar…” His voice trembled and his balance wavered. The fire type needed no instruction to free itself. Using Flare Blitz once more, coating itself in flames to rid the life draining roots before firing another Flamethrower to help Gallade in freeing their trainers. That was if there was a safe way. The Emboar wasn’t about to light up the pair themselves in an attempt to free them.[break][break]

Meanwhile, Gyarados continued to charge forth back to Dallas. Launching a Hydro Pump at any flames that dared to encroach near it.[break][break]

“You know,” Dallas turned to ALEXANDER STONE , “I was gonna give you shit for that Rain Dance earlier, but looks like it would have been best to keep it up now.” Thankfully, Kim Cole was already on it.[break][break]

“We need to do some damage to this thing already before it kills us…” Weak hands retrieved a Pokeball from his coat pocket. Exploud was then released. Its usual resting face of pure anger looking towards Dallas for a command.[break][break]

“Thunder Fang the big metal thing.” So far this entire mission was going to shit. It was time to see if they could piss the metal beast off anymore, or even hurt it.[break][break]

Lucius wailed in agony with his companion's brutal demise. He stood back up in an instant, now seething with rage as he eyed the gargantuan pokemon responsible for this mess. He watched as cylinder ascended to the skies, spewing yet another burst of its flamethrower. Lucius reached for his belt and plucked another one of his pokeballs, releasing his ninetales to join the fray.

"End this."

Lucius pointed up, referring to the flamethrower barrage. His ninetales released a pulse of energy towards the enemy pokemon, hoping to imprison it and restrict it from using its flamethrower any further. Everything was on fire, yet Lucius remained seemingly calm, silent and evidently irked by the current situation.

He limped closer towards the giant pokemon, slowly, his limp was fixed and now walked normally at most despite being rather slow. He could already see the red aura emanating from the pokemon much clearer than from where he initially stood. Despite closing in, he still remained distant, far more distant than anyone near the steel giant.

All three of his pokemon followed suit, with his alolan ninetales busy extinguishing flames along their path with its ice beam. Both his ninetales stood on each of his sides as his espeon stood before him, his pokemon stood at standby, waiting for further instructions.

"Bishop, try and make a dent."

With that, his espeon opened its mouth and formed a ball of purple energy, shooting its psychic attack in hopes of hurting this huge chunk of steel.

"King, try and mess with those floating metal tubes."

His ninetales looked up, sizing the floating cylinders up top as its eyes gleamed with a purplish haze. A ray of dark energy shot off of ninetales' eyes, aimed directly towards the floating cylinders in hopes of messing them up with the confusion its confuse ray was about to inflict.

• Currently out: Alolan Ninetales, Ninetales, and Espeon.
• Ninetales used IMPRISON to hopefully stop the FLAMETHROWER and any other move in Ninetales' moveset to be used by Celesteela.
• Lucius walked closer towards Celesteela.
• Alolan Ninetales fended off flames with ICE BEAMS.
• Espeon shot the main body with PSYCHIC.
• Ninetales shot CONFUSE RAY to the cylinders in hopes of messing them up.
• Pissed how Bastiodon most definitely died

priam has already lost a pokemon before, and he knew it wouldn't be the last, considering the dangerous nature of his lifestyle. he has learned not to get attached to them, but the mutilation of his pokemon right in front of him still has him shaken.

at least the druddigon has done its job of protecting him.

the druddigon is recalled back to its ball, even when priam knows that it was hopeless. he'd give her a proper burial or something later on. at the very least, it was to ease his discomfort about having another pokemon die on him. it happened just as when he was growing close to it as well.

he tries to overcome the grief with staying on course with the objective. he doesn't know what the thing was, but he knows he wants to take it down. the only way he knows how to do it was to keep it up with direct attacks, however.

"f-flame burst! espeon, swift!"

he stays by the sidelines as he commands his pokemon to pelt the large unknown creature with his long ranged moves. he finds himself pointing at one of the metal cylinders instead of the main body, specifically the one that attacked them.

the reeling beast nearly toppled as the collision was met by the relief of an illusion. thankfully, with mudsdale most accustomed to the muddy terrain, it quickly regained its footing before turning opposite.

delphi traced a fumbling hand over the remaining pokeballs at her side, recalling the smaller unscathed fox and the still bewildered serpent. the other pair a valuable asset given their current surroundings.

however— it wasn't as if it could've been said for the rest. the aftermath of a whirling attack tore into the loyal dragon. its corpse resembled near blinding embers which flickered downward. falling before them in harmless pieces that gently touched forth.

she lost her breath at the sight. it was nothing worthy of amazement, rather, delphi felt frightened. many ailing emotions raced through her and eventually she forced herself to look away once dragonite moved.

mudsdale follows just as quickly despite the agility which throttled them into safety. the oncoming fire was not exactly as sudden as the soaring fist, yet, the element was just as threatening.

the hovering torment inclines her to bring her friend back and the larger pokemon disappears into the safety of the capsule. silence overlapping the usual talkative nature with something much louder than what the rest could hear. distant and painful images.

the GRASS KNOT fades under ALEXANDER STONE and Dallas Rhodes' combined efforts. in tandem, they're able to free themselves with a repeated practice of psychic blades and hot fire. the ground finally settles and nothing else seems to surface. the coast is clear, for now.[break][break][break]

gengar and politoed continues to use HYPNOSIS but aside from the receding GRASS KNOT nothing seems to change. Dallas Rhodes' gyarados finally enters the proximity and keeps them safe by blasting several bursts of HYDRO PUMP at the flames that are still far off but encroaching ever closer. [break][break][break]

Dallas Rhodes' exploud comes out of its pokeball and lunges forward to gnaw at the large structure-like pokemon with its THUNDER FANG. without any real way of reaching the pokemon, the exploud has no choice but to try and chew at the pokemon's pillar like roots. luckily, the pokemon's fangs don't crack or break but there seems to be a minimal effect to it. [break][break][break]

kim cole-essam's dragonite brings @delphi out of harms way. the dragon is faster then the approaching flames but not faster then her ability to recall her pokemon. only her lucario remains, uncomfortably nestled under the dragon's frantic, stubby arm as it flies away from the growing flames. [break][break][break]

kim cole-essam has his lumineon get to work and it starts to dig a hole out of the still moist earth. the clouds from ALEXANDER STONE's previous RAIN DANCE are still fresh in the air. a light drizzle starts to set in but the FLAMETHROWER is too powerful to be rained out with a dainty shower. the returning lickilicky will try to DISABLE what it can but the pokemon's stamina is no where close to what it used to be. the flames being spewed out by one of the cylinders seems to lose its intensity but they still flow out, unending. [break][break][break]

lucius hallows' ninetales IMPRISON hits the pokemon's main body but seems to have little effect. the fire continues to spew forth but the attach definitely hit on the immobile, towering structure. his alolan ninetales is more successful at slowing down the flames by turning them into ice. however, that too is only delaying the inevitable. the sheer volume of the FLAMETHROWER is overpowering, much more then what any one pokemon can do alone. still, it grants them a bigger window of time then leaving the fire unaddressed. [break][break][break]

the PSYCHIC from lucius hallows's espeon lands just like the IMPRISON. at a glance, the attack seems to have no effect on the pokemon. there's no real true sign coming from the main structure. it's unmoving and unresponsive. only ALEXANDER STONE and Dallas Rhodes will have a reasonable hypothesis as to why.[break][break][break]

the CONFUSE RAY fires off in a straight line and hits one of the cylinders. nothing happens at first but clearly the attack lands as it dissipates on contact. priam conrad is quick to follow up by ordering his arcanine and espeon to attack the same cylinder. the SWIFT and FLAME BURST are strong enough to at least rock the object, and as it sways it finds itself unable to steady itself back into position. it FLAILS around wildly, unleashing an unintentional, rotating FLAMETHROWER that spreads faster and lashes out at @delphi, lucius hallows, and priam conrad's location as the attack wildly arcs as the cylinder starts to plummet. by the looks of it, the cylinder's on a trajectory to fall right onto kim cole-essam's location. [break][break][break]

the other cylinder ceases to spit out fire, rotating in place several times before flying back to the pokemon's main body.[break][break][break]

he physically drags his espeon towards his body and hides behind his arcanine's body. the arcanine gets what his trainer means and body blocks the flamethrower that ravaged the vicinity. his body absorbs the heat, using it as fuel for its subsequent attacks.

flash fire activates.

the espeon guides any stray fire that the arcanine fails to block and that may harm his trainer away from them with psychic.

"there!"

priam steers his arcanine's attention away from where the cylinder would land towards the main body. the cylinder wasn't their problem now, and whoever got it was to deal with it on their own. besides, it wasn't like priam had anything to stop it with.

arcanine fires of a flame burst at the direction of the large pokemon from afar.

the cylinder set to crush kim cole-essam narrowly misses him as he scrambles to evade the object at the last second. a glance back reveals that the impact would've been fatal. a steep crater caves around the inactive piece of alien metal.[break][break][break]

unbearable heat suffocates them all as the FLAMETHROWER starts to swallow the forest whole. yet, the danger of the wild forest fire pales in comparison from the HEAT WAVE that washes over mossdeep. in contrast to the many wormhole that blot out the sky is a single star. bright, uncompromising, purposed – the unidentified object continues to expand until it becomes the size of a huge meteor. [break][break][break]

it reaches a climax and detonates, fragments of warm orange snaking around as they home in on those that dare take a stand against the foreign invaders. the energy transcends the laws of the physical world, cloaked in majesty and nuanced in a mysticism many consider legendary. [break][break][break]

the influx of energy causes the ultra beast to stir. the two autonomous weapons end up converging back onto the pokemon's main body. with a shrill SCREECH, it awakens, having ABSORBED more then enough energy. a loud rumble stirs beneath it, igniting those nearby by the intense heat and energy given off. [break][break][break]

and with that, the pokemon launches off, not unlike the rockets mossdeep's space center is known for. as to where it's going? no one knows. those in attendance are helpless to track it as the pokemon soars, disappearing into the skies and taking off into the horizon.[break][break][break]

all that lasts is to fight the flames left in its wake. that and perhaps trying to come to understand the odd energy that seems to seep into everyone's core. it's tender, reassuring, but fading as things slowly turn back to normal.[break][break][break]
