"Alright, buddy. You behave yourself today. Don't go sneaking around dragging children away," Abraxas teased his DRIFLOON, a lighthearted chuckle leaving his lips.

Of course, the purple, floating Pokemon would argue that only happened a couple of times, and even then, nothing bad happened. Not like she did anything bad.

Instead, she let out a whirring noise, airy and light as she floated off to explore her surroundings. She wondered why she was left behind instead of the others. But no matter. She'd find some sort of fun today, her little heart-shaped tendrils flapping while she moved.

Hebit spotted a HAPPINY nearby, deciding to slide over and see what it was doing.

This is so unfair!

How come all her friends get to go have fun adventures with Tam and she has to stay here all alone at this lame place? Well… To be fair, it’s not all her friends that went, and she’s not alone, but Stufful went to find a nice spot to nap in the sun the moment they made it here, and that means they can’t play together! Lame!

Upset, the Happiny puffs up her cheeks, somehow making herself look even rounder than usual, and with a gentle shove, she pushes the sparkling white bouncy ball she usually carries in her pouch, making it roll on the floor.

Round and round it goes… A little further than she had expected. She waddles after it, and when she sees a Drifloon approaching, she waddles even faster.

”Mine!” Happiny declares protectively, grabbing her bouncy ball, but alas, it slips out of her grasp, and as bouncy balls do, it bounces away and off the wall. "Nooooo-"

Hebit's new found companion... or something else... seemed overly protective of this sparkly ball that she was rolling about on the ground. Her own face, lack thereof, was uninterested in it. She was just observing, as the ball shot far away from both of them.

"Noooo-"

Looking between the HAPPINY and the ball, the DRIFLOOM raised a tendril to scratch at the top of the balloon-shaped head, like she had see Abraxas do before when he was confused. Then, she decided.

Floating away, she chased after the ball, stopping once it settled in place. Then, turning her ghostly body back toward the other Pokemon, she pushed it, letting it roll back toward her.

"Mmm?" an airy question presented to her, asking if she was happy she got the ball back.

Being too young to produce eggs of their own, Playhouse Pokémon tend to carry other objects in their pouches as if to make up for this fact. This particular Happiny had tried a variety of different things, and in an attempt to stop her from grabbing random household items and putting them in her pouch, Tam had given her the bouncy ball thinking it may look and feel enough like an egg to keep her satisfied.

Of course, as the Happiny sees it, the bouncy ball is particularly precious not only because it reminds her of an egg, but because it was a gift from her trainer, and so those screams that to any human would have sounded something like ”Happ! Happiiiiiiiiiiny!” are more than justified in her opinion!

When the Driftloon starts floating in the direction the ball had gone, she panics and starts chasing after it too, but her little legs are too short, and the ghosts makes it there much faster than she ever would.

To her surprise, it makes the ball roll towards her, and it’s triumphantly that she grabs onto it.

”Egg!” Yes, she knows it’s not an egg, but maybe this Drifloon isn’t so bad, if it was willing to help her…

Happiny squints, extending the bouncy ball towards the ghost without letting go of it.

”Egg?” She questions, tilting her head.

The pattering noises of the HAPPINY go unnoticed by Hebit when she reached the ball. However, she did note that the pink Pokemon was closer than it had been before. Which made rolling the ball closer easier for her.

The squeal of content and happiness made her own eyes squeeze, a pleased look crossed her features as she let out her characteristic cry. Akin to a squealing spring, if you would, she cooed happily as she floated from side to side.

Ghost Pokemon were an omen of bad tidings, or so many people believed. She had encountered many individuals afraid of her, going across the street to put as much space between her and their children. But she was harmless with Abraxas and his team. She just wanted to help.

This "egg" was presented to her by her companion, and she floated over carefully, looking over it with a curious gaze. Her tentacle reached forward and touched the top of the ball.

"Ooooh."

Perhaps it’s a matter of her species’ nature, perhaps nurture makes all the difference in the world. When meeting him, no one would take a man like Tam to be the type that teaches his pokémon to be good and nice and kind, but his actions have always spoken louder than his words. Happiny knows that this is the sort of thing she’d like her to do. How does she know? Well… She just does!

Sure, the bouncy ball is no actual healing egg, and it can’t do much for the Drifloon at all, but she’s still pleased when the spectral balloon reaches for it, and she beams up in response.

”Egg!” And just like that, she gently drops the bouncy ball, causing it to lightly bounce on the floor – this time on purpose.

The ball bounced, one, two, three times before settling again on the ground. Hebit watched it for a moment, wondering what to do.

Did she want to play with her?

It seemed like it, and it was a welcomed invitation. She felt like she never was offered the chance to play with someone outside Abraxas's team. They were used to her. They were a family. And this Pokemon didn't seem to be afraid of her.

Well, anymore at least.

"Wirrrr!"

She rolled the ball back, deciding to float back a distance so that she could either bounce or push it toward her. Her arms waved excitedly.

Unbeknownst to the Playhouse Pokémon, this is exactly why Tam had left her and his Stufful at the daycare today. Socialising! Well, that and the fact that he’s going on a potentially-dangerous assignment that’ll take all day and there’s no one to look after them, but the opportunity for interactions with pokémon she’s not familiar with is also a key factor here!

When the Drifloon rolls the egg (read: sparkly white bouncy ball) back to her, the Happiny waves her short little arms, waddling a couple of steps forward and reaching down to grab the precious sphere once it's close enough.

She jumps happily, and after doing so, the egg is sent rolling back towards her new friend!

Hebit let out another pleased noise as the ball was sent back to her, a game of catch underway. It was almost like a soccer (re: football) game between the two of them, except they were both the goalies.

She, at least, made it her own personal goal not to let the ball get behind her.

Eventually, as the day wore to the evening time, Abraxas returned. His mission was a day-long endeavor, only requiring his JOLTEON. So he came back to retrieve his Pokemon.

But, he found himself rather guilty when he saw the new found connection between DRIFLOON and a stranger's HAPPINY. Maybe he'd pay an extra fee for her to have a little more fun...
