a small island is where theo sets their meeting spot. punctuality is expected so when the newly promoted admin appears, theo turns to greet him with a nod.

his voice carries over the rain.

Spat out from rupture of dripping tar, the newly promoted admin arrived with his Dragapult in tow, the same blank expression worn across his face.

After their previous conversation, Felix had expected another to emerge. Especially given the promotion. It was only natural, given the state of their dwindling trust towards one another, and if it had been on the other side, he'd do the same. Swipping off the crumbs of dirt that coated his knees, the man looked up, lips downturned into a small frown.

"Thanks," he replied over the thundering downpour.

If he didn't, he wouldn't have accepted the position in the first place. Felix just wasn't the type to...grow excited over trivial things like promotions, especially within an organization like Rocket. If anything, the only benefit that came with the raise in status was the lack of minimal labor expected from him. Well, that and the newfound access to the organization's vast databases.

His eyes moved to match the underboss', dark and distant in nature. The tang of hate still stung his tongue.

With a brief pause, he returns the man's words back to him.

"Congratulations on yours, too."

[attr="class","bbb"]whatever distaste or hate is in the air is mostly one-sided. theo's feelings on the new admin matter little as he's not one to explore them let alone share. it's just a shame as he would've preferred working with someone he trusts.

a togedemaru rolls into the scene, literally, as it bumps into theo's leg. its spikes don't hurt too much so he bends down to pick it up, cradling it like a baby.

"for the sake of transparency, i was not against your promotion, though i was not for it either."

even someone as ancient as boomer theo knows how to send an email. he's had to upgrade his flip phone to an actual smartphone since his appointment as admin, and since then he's been made aware of all the technological advances.

[attr="class","bbb"]not unfamiliar with having to carry conversations, theo bears the weight of this one and carries on, asking a question that he asks most people. it's one that he appreciates when someone asks him.

QUICK ATTACK brings the zebstrika up close to the gyarados which is its biggest mistake. its tail coils before snapping to deliver a POWER WHIP that thumps against the electric-type, sending it to the ground and into a pokeball.

Usually, small talk like this was deemed irrelevant in the workplace, but apparently, Rocket strayed from the rest in this regard. Eyebrow still arched, he regarded the older gentleman with both caution and obvious confusion.
