From grand larceny to murder to political conspiracy, it was both amazing and ridiculous that the one who cracked the case in a number too great to emphasize was a young girl with childish hair decorations. She was only 11 when she had solved a murder before the police--a feat attributed to her abstract and out of the box thinking as well as a refusal to adhere to boundaries. It didn't stop there. A larceny. A suicide scene that was sabotaged to look like a murder. Poaching rings. An assassination. Over time, a reputation built up. The Ace Detective. Child Wonder. Numerous monikers for her flew throughout the region. For 8 years, Jubilife's Juvenile Ace was an unstoppable force.

And yet, everything eventually comes to end. Details are unknown, but Elaine Highland disappeared from the limelight at the age of 19. Her final cases as the vaunted Ace seemingly wiped from all records, she almost seemed to drop off the face of the earth. Despite that, there were still occasional reports of her taking cases. But even so, it was strange of her to resurface in Hoenn of all places. The young woman who had gone off the grid, what was it she was after?

• The records of the specific cases that led to her departure have all been sealed away at her request. As the cases left behind a massive trail of blood including those of people and Pokemon close to her, Elaine opted to have her name scratched from the records of those cases with only a few alive knowing of the connections, the details, and the deaths involved.
• Though it's unknown if those cases caused it or if it was simply caused by her long term exposures to death, a significant change came in her personality and goals. A distinct, yet unspoken megalomania would eventually overcome and consume her. After all, if she could embody something absolute, maybe she would never have to see others die around her again.
