The clock turns 3:30 and that's precisely when Tianyu enters Galerie Mirage, his hands clasped behind his back and crimson gaze critical. At the man's heels trails a Ninetales vixen, her own scarlet attention somehow much more critical than the man she escorts.

A charming smile flashed, Tianyu bows at the waist to Seraphine as they spy once another, the rich baritone of his voice carrying throughout the airy gallery as he greets, "Miss D’aureville, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. Thank you for your time."

His head tipping towards the artworks surrounding the pair, he drawls pleasantly, "What a lovely gallery you have."

"You are too kind, Mr. Húxiān," Seraphine intoned, heels resonating with sharp clicks as she glided over to the attractive CEO who had just entered her gallery, Rouge at her side. The Smeargle politely bowed his head to the Ninetails that had entered alongside Húxiān Tianyu, the two Pokémon seeming to size one another up in respectful terms.[break][break]
"It is likewise a pleasure to meet you, at last," the painter continued, smiling warmly at her guest. Tianyu was a known member of Hoenn's high society, and Seraphine had been trying to network with the man for some time. When he had expressed interest in purchasing artwork from her, she'd thanked Arceus for the good fortune.[break][break]
"Let me give you a tour of Galerie Mirage," she offered, waving a hand at the spacious ground floor before them. "And then I would be happy to go over what you might be looking for. I have watercolor, acrylic, and oil paintings ranging from the strictly impressionistic to the more modern and abstract. Landscapes are my forte, but naturally I have trained in portraiture of both the Pokémon and human variety." Her tone was confident without sounding arrogant: the voice of an artist who knew what they were capable of. Seraphine had been praised for her skills her entire life; for many artists, this was never enough to overcome the common pitfall of imposter syndrome.[break][break]
Seraphine, however, was far from common.

"That would be lovely," Tianyu answers, his rich baritone carrying across the spacious room; as he speaks his hand shifts to lightly rest behind his Ninetails's head, the vixen settling somewhat to in turn give a polite enough nod to the Smeargle. Once certain Daji will behave, however relative the term, Tianyu clasps his hands behind his back again and moves to follow Seraphine through the Galerie; his scarlet eyes dart here and there as he observes the artwork on display.

"Nothing too modern," the businessman muses as they walk. "I have a preference for acrylics but we can discuss the details at your leisure." He pauses briefly before a landscape to examine it, his gaze critical and sharp.

"Do you have a preferred medium? I know many artists do." Regardless of her answer, his office could use a touch of decor, and a landscape or portrait of Daji would be just the thing to enliven the area.

"Oils are my specialty, but I have years of experience with a variety of materials, of course. Here, let me show you some examples of each." Seraphine smiled warmly and led her guest over to a section of the gallery wall where a collection of four paintings were hanging, each one depicting a different iconic mountain in a specific medium: Mt. Moon in soft pastel watercolors, Mt. Pyre in textured oils, Mt. Coronet in bold acrylics, and Mt. Lanakila in traditional black charcoal. "I have an affinity for the way oils create such a distinct, tangible feel...they make me feel as if I am immersed in the very landscape I am hoping to recreate. But there are benefits to every medium, naturally. As you can see, I have a plethora of styles to offer." She held her hands out in a welcoming gesture, as if to emphasize her point. She laced her tone with just the right amount of arrogance to impress a man of his station.[break][break]

"Are you thinking you might be interested in a landscape, Mr. Húxiān?" Seraphine inquired as he scrutinized her work. "Or perhaps a portrait - of yourself, or someone special to you?"

Tianyu hums a note low in his chest as he observes the landscapes, his crimson gaze appraising. "You do have a way with oils," he praises quietly.

His attention slowly slides from the artwork before him to the woman beside, a single brow arching in something akin the mirth at the suggestion he sit for a painting. "Not me, no," he assures with a single shake of his head, the action settling his decision.

"However," Tianyu after a single beat. "I do believe Daji would have the time for such an extravagance." As he speaks his head cants downwards to look at the Ninetales vixen at his side, the vulpine creature's nose tipping upwards with a haughty sniff. "What do you say," he asks the fox.

A succinct nod from the Ninetales has him smiling, and he asserts to Seraphine, "It seems the subject has been settled. What sort of schedule would we be working with?"

Seraphine's golden eyes widened in surprise at Tianyu's unexpected request, but then softened as she watched the man interact with his Ninetails - asking for her permission - realizing he clearly cared deeply for the fox Pokémon. She had not necessarily expected this distinguished, somewhat haughty man to have such a close bond with his Pokémon. She had painted portraits of beloved Pokémon in the past, so this would not be too difficult of a challenge, as long as Daji was willing, which she seemed to be.[break][break]
"Let's see..." Seraphine pulled out her mobile phone and opened the calendar app. "It looks like I have an opening for a portrait sitting next week - 4 hours in the afternoon on Wednesday. Alternatively, in two weeks time, I have a morning slot available on a Tuesday. Which would you and Daji prefer?"[break][break]
Seraphine walked over to the Ninetails and offered the Pokémon her hand for a sniff. "My you are beautiful," She purred, petting the vixen behind the ears. "What keeps you so busy these days, Mr. Húxiān?" She asked idly, while waiting for him to confirm the timing of Daji's portrait.
