teetering upon the brink, the same shade resounds future sight through her narrowed eyes. with her hind leg deterring the absolute speed that nila depended upon— the dodge was impossible.

stone edge collides and her body shudders against the jagged fragments. dissipating upon contact yet clearly doing harm. surprisingly however, the beast holds her ground. biting through the discomfort.

"that's enough," delphi says, the extent of her companion well professed in battle, "you showed them, nila." red light catches the descent of the absol. her pride refusing the exposure of weakness.

she tucks the capsule away, wasting no time in releasing another. lucario swivels midair before approaching the ground below, the nuisance of spiky aftermath nipping the heel of her large paws.

"hit them first!" charging forward on the immediate demand, azure stands face—to—face with the opposing beast. bone rush already prominent in the object made of light. however its solidity is not to be disregarded. she aims to slam it down upon them.

lucario makes for both an interesting and highly unwelcome sight. the freckle-faced gym leader had only ever personally seen a handful in her lifetime, the bipedal specimen not at all commonplace. it was this fact alone that caused cait to grow wary, a glimmer in her eye betraying such an emotion.

'that's a fighter if i've ever seen one,' she thought.

her gaze flitted between her own canine and delphi's, the woman's expression slightly pinched. before she was given the time needed to utter a command the dog had already rushed forward, a bone club manifesting within its powerful paws. it succeeds in delivering several blows in succession before cait finally manages to get a single order in.

"roar!"

she'd much rather remove such a threat and grant her pokemon a little more time on the field. additionally, allowing for stealth rock and toxic spike to do their work could prove beneficial in the long run. the pokemon obeyed her the moment she processed the command, a great bellow originating from her throat as she released the terrible noise.

azure offers them no let up.

the collision pertains not an ounce of mercy. the battle between two beasts is solely prominent in their regard. with such immense power— it could've been a loss of sensibility.

familiar instinct for the clash is just as similar to the dragons. neither were truly far apart. the challenge rooted firmly within their blood.

lycanroc however, lets out a terrifying roar. and although there is nothing entirely appalling of the boisterous call, azure feels herself slipping backwards. the same shade of light pulling her into the safety of her pokeball. unable to deny the force.

just as suddenly repeating the cycle as comet's presence shuddered the hazardous earth before them. in comparison to the other that found a twinge of discomfort in her entrance, the dragon did not even perceive it. those hostile eyes glaring forth.

"well, don't look so happy, i didn't bring you out here!" delphi joked, her companion passing her a careful glance, "you know i like saving the best for last!" the dragon might've been a very close companion. one that the gym leader had once seen.

however— how did it fare in battle?

"power up! comet!" beautiful swords dance around the tall beast, his already overwhelming presence impending in the move. ominous shades of red beginning to linger from his form.

the dragon rage charged forward.
