"i admire the honesty, councilman black," she says with a thin-lipped smile. it isn't much, but it is something. the endeavor to keep tabs on the legend isn't an easy task, especially now that she has little to none political pull with its hierarchy. 

she drums her fingertips against her empty glass. "not that i have a habit of looking a gift horse in the mouth, but why do you agree so readily to my requests, gabriel? i don't have much to offer by way of recompense."

"it feels like it's been eons," she says truthfully. almost two years and her legacy never had much standing to begin with. no, a sword at fernando's side had been a truer purpose than she'd ever had before. she only wishes she could have stood by hoenn's old champion instead. 

"a smart man, but you know what they say - keep your friends close and your enemies closer." she runs her fingers through her hair. "make no mistake, councilman. i don't forget those who've done me a favor." or those who've stabbed me in the back. 

"i'll take my leave then." she stands.
