Asher was again on the Fiery Path. Dusk was just starting to settle in the mountains of Hoenn, but still plenty of daylight yet. He had a few hours to himself before he needed to go to bed, and he had two Pokeballs that he found at the Splashfest. Might as well use them up. The teenager may be struggling to feed himself and his Pokemon, but he had to admit that it was beginning to not be as much of a problem. More mouths to feed, sure, but also more help...and that help was paying off.

Out today was was Chinny the Chinchou. Both because of her water typing and because of those two orbs she had that emitted light...should make heading back in the dark much easier and nicer. Even if it did have the tendency of attracting unwanted guests. So long as nothing happened to him, he could run pretty quickly. But Pokemon were often no slouches either...

Asher turned to find a man behind him like a creeper. Even his most chill Pokemon was a bit put off by him. The question was an odd one to him. Everything about the guy made him put his guard up. "Maybe a tiny bit of training, but mostly to find other fire and or poison types. I don't have many water types...but yeah, that's why I got Chinny. And Kraken. What about you? You know, besides being a little bit of a creeper..." And hopefully not on his way to Lavaridge to take residence in a hotspring. At least the one that he works at, this dude can go anywhere else. Even his Chinchou did her best to glare at them from Asher's arms. He did hear the sounds of other Pokemon around, which did intrigue him, but the first two he saw didn't interest him at all. Well, mostly because he already had Dazzle the Salazzle. And the monkey looked...too wierd...

So much the same as him in a way. Asher got some spare pokeballs, and wanted to use them up. He ignored the Koffing that was coming by, and watched the man take it. Ariados crawled out of the woodwork, and left them. He didn't want an Ariados since he already had Silky. Even if she wasn't a poison type...she was fire and bug type. The guy asked Asher what he was looking for. "Pretty much any cool fire types or poison types. Mostly fire. That Simisear is way too wierd to me. And I already have a Salazzle. Koffing and Ariados don't interest me. You got a favorite type?" The shrimp was expecting fire or poison type since those two types seem to enjoy this area the most. But who knows, maybe the five foot five kid was wrong.

"hm. i specialize in poison-types but i adore water-types as well."[break][break]

both have their uses but outside of battling and whatnot, theo definitely prefers water-types. he has an affinity for fishies that is unlike anything else.[break][break]

koffing is met with a STONE EDGE that pins it against the wall beside them. it allows theo to simply step over and bump the pokeball against it, capturing the koffing.[break][break]

Poison and water types huh. He didn't mind water too much. Evidence by his Chinchou here. But he also had a golden Magikarp as well. Nodding he was about to move away when a little Magby showed up, looking mad. The little guy was adorably wierd. Unlike Semisear. The baby attempted a Flame Burst. Asher dodged it, and tossed Chinny into the air. The Chinchou promptly unleashed a Hydro Pump into it, slamming it through a tree and making it hit a rock hard. Taking out a Pokeball, he threw it at the Magby. Another one joins the team. "Well, that's a start."

Asher just gave the guy a look, even as he could see two Pokemon in the distance having a race. It looked like...a Rapidash and a Charizard?! He just looked at Chinny, who nodded. Once again, the little guy turned and fired a Hydro Pump at the horse Pokemon. The fire unicorn jumped over it! Then burst into flames, and used Flame Charge against the little water buddy. Chinny countered with Electro Ball, then used Aqua Ring. Rapidash used Quick Attack to knock him over again. The Chinchou countered with a Bubblebeam, this time hitting the fire Pokemon. Following it up with a wide burst of electricity with Discharge. The horned horse kneeled down to one knee, but was trying to get up. Ash threw another Pokeball. After this, he would have one more to use.

having come up against far too many charizard for one lifetime, theo knows what to expect. so when it flies forward to throw a METAL CLAW, the carbink summons a STONE EDGE that rises to meet it, clashing it away.[break][break]

it GROWLS, retaliating with a lick of FLAME BURST only to succumb to the PSYCHIC that holds it in place. a pokeball follows.
