[break][break] ODD KEYSTONE: The Odd Keystone is a useful device for Exorcists that varies greatly in the scope of what it may display to those watching. The Odd Keystone functions not unlike a dream catcher, but targeting lost spirits instead. Pulled in by a spectral pressure, the Odd Keystone paints an image of death. Specifically, it is likely it shows us the soul's waking moments leading up to their death, something very intimate to the deathly apparition. Perhaps surprisingly to some, it does not always take the form of a pokemon. E.M.F: Electromagnetic Fields can be difficult to detect without the proper tools, and it is generally not very helpful in pinpointing the haunting species, but it does greatly help eliminate the other possibilities. Certain pokemon and electronic devices both seem to have strong reactions to the presence of this evidence. FINGERPRINTS: Fingerprints and specifically footprints can be one of the most revealing forms of evidence you can find while searching for apparitions, but not always in the ways you'd expect. Consider for a moment that most ghost pokemon levitate off the ground, and do not even have feet to speak of. Sometimes this evidence is less helpful, but comparing it with pokedex entries can sometimes lead to conclusive identification of a haunting species. EXTREME TEMPERATURES: Temperatures fluctuations have always been a sign of paranormal activity, and this remains a common trend. There is an important distinction to make however. You should only consider this evidence if it lasts more than briefly. A sudden chill or hot flash that dissipates quickly, while a sign of activity, is sometimes less a byproduct of its presence and more a manifestation of direct intervention. Generally, you can consider this information when trying to narrow down possible typings, if your findings show that such reflection might be useful. WILL-O-WISPS: Often Will-o-Wisps are seen even without the prerequisite abilities or tools, but those tend to be the manifestation of a living species. These wisps, like ghosts of a flame, cannot be discerned by the naked eye. They generally depict very little either, though sometimes show the path of trafficked spirits or simply an area of their fixation. UNOWN WRITING: Although such evidence was once rarely, if ever available to Exorcists, Johtian records indicate that the Unown will gather around the sites of spirits. They cling to flat surfaces and allow the presence to warp them, causing them to form atypical strings of words that seem to hold no meaning except to scare off intruders. Cross-examination has revealed however, that many of these words show up in established pokedex entries. A vexing phenomenon... ROTOM VOICEBOX: Perhaps the most bone chilling evidence of all, is the Rotom Voicebox. A two-way transmitter powered by a Rotom attempts to break down the walls between the living and the dead, that we might speak to them. Often the ghost itself does not speak to you, and instead you receive accumulated parabolic sounds, which the Rotom can scramble into what will usually have been some of the last words spoken leading up to their death. Do note that last words rarely have meaning to the ongoing investigation.
