“Let me just finish this and then we can get to the good part,” he cackled quietly as he continued to hack and piece away at the pumpkin, throwing pieces that he’d carved out every so often into the bowl that held the innards he’d deal with later.

Eventually, though, he would look up from what he was doing and then show the other his handiwork.

“Hey, how’s this look?” he hummed, showing the other the… well, admittedly it was a bit bad for the first attempt, but an attempt was made nonetheless.
