He watched quietly as his boyfriend marched off to his room before returning with a paper bag, before filling it with—with—

“Oh, my god. Frog,” he began quietly watching as the manic happening just literally unfurled in front of him. He was tempted to ask if this was going to work, but knew better than to provoke a slightly manic amphibian.

(Because yes, provoking a manic partner was bad. He just knew.)

Just in case, he then accessed his PokéGear and began sifting through the Sanctuary-wide storage system; in particular his side of the storage and making sure to locate if he had a Pokémon that knew both Imprison and Teleport so they could catch the little sneak thief red-handed.

“Shouldn’t… shouldn’t we like, hide or something?” he suggested a few moments later.

Just as his partner finally came around to thinking logically, he found who he was looking for—hilariously it was his male Kirlia that had the exact combination they needed.

“Hiding somewhere would be best, since I’m pretty sure that the Abra line can understand human speech. I mean, you’ve seen a Kadabra and an Alakazam, right? They can supposedly understand human speech, so…”

Running over to the terminal to retrieve the Kirlia’s Pokéball, he then popped the aptly-named Pokémon out.

“Alright… let’s go. Have to hide somewhere… and you, can hide along with the Wooloo,” he said in the Kirlia’s way, dragging along the other man so they were both out of sight.

Sure ‘nuff, not long after he and Alex ducked out of site, the little Abra teleported back into their living room. It reached up to grab the biggest bag-- the trapped bag-- and tried to pull it, frowning and scratching its head when it couldn’t.

Alex’s Kirlia’s disable went off like a clicking of lights and Memo hopped out from around the corner.

“Freeze, thief!” he yelled, striking his best Phoenix Wright pose; the Abra threw its hands up, panicking, and tried to teleport-- but after finding it couldn’t, it decided to run.

(To be fair, it was Imprison, not Disable, that his Kirlia knew.)

So now that they caught the smelly, skiving sneak thief—he could only blink and watch in incredulous silence as the Abra then made a full-pelt mad dash towards the fucking door…

“Not today, Satan!” he yelled, and William the Wooloo immediately sprang into action, literally becoming a white wrecking ball of anarchy that rolled in chase of the Abra while he cut around the couch and made a mad sprint to grab the Abra as well.

“What are you waiting for? Come on, let’s catch its ugly ass!”

Eventually, Memo got ahold of the dastardly rodent and wrapped it in his arms, bearhugging it to his body and trilling with glee.

“Gotcha, you little rat!” He stood, the Abra’s legs kicking and flailing; it made high-pitched squeaky noises as it struggled.
