Clearly there was something up with the Bird, and my oh my it did involve him humming those things to his boyfriend’s ear, which had elicited the unexpected (but absolutely welcome) reaction from the other.

The only thing they had to worry about was that voluminous cloak the other was wearing—while he’d chosen something light and practical to wear to the party in question.

“Again, I was thinking of practicality… why the huge-ass train?” he cackled. “Unless…”

He then switched languages and cackled.

“You know how much I want to rail you? Badly.”

But Alex was… different, than Memo. He didn’t express his feelings the same way. Memo was a highly physical being, as well as being emotional. Alex was… less so.

He skidded to a stop in front of a distant little alcove, roped off and sequestered and neatly private.

“I didn’t think--,” he kicked the rope out of the way, pulling Alex behind him, “you’d-- respond like this--,”

Alex caught up to him and leaned forward and said… whatever the hell he said.

Fuck the wrinkles, he decided, and he turned, grabbed Alex by the collar of his suit, and pulled him down for a kiss.

Let out a noise of subtle disgust because holy crap on a cracker was she witnessing what was happening here?! Letting out a scandalized buzzing noise, she attempted to look for Shivani and get the hell out of there, the better to give their two human idiot companions some privacy because she could tell something was up.

Back at Alex…

He could only chuckle quietly because apparently, his boyfriend couldn’t keep his paws to himself either.

“Knew you’d like that,” he chuckled quietly in English, grabbing one part of the voluminous cloak and sweeping it above their heads, effectively shrouding them in the darkness as he leaned down and returned the kiss with as much burning passion as he could manage with their clothes on.

(Imagine what debauchery would happen due to the voluminous size of the cloak his knucklehead boyfriend chose to wear should they hide beneath it!)

Meanwhile, thankfully they’d just bumped up against a wall but now it looked like he had the high ground, because he was leering over the other man with this amused rumble building up inside him.

“You know, maybe picking white and gold as the cloak color was a good idea, we blend into the wall,” he continued as he continued with this bemused look on his features.

“Tell me, how long did it take you to get into the body suit?”

That was what the minuscule little Ribombee hummed, looking around and wondering where the nectar was. Most of the human food that had been laid out for consumption wasn’t… really… Ribombee-friendly, so there was that.

‘How does that taste? I mostly survive off nectar. Or sugar water if he remembers,’ she continued with a tiny little huff.

Meanwhile.

“You know, picking out the cloak was a good idea, because nobody can hear us scream,” he said, switching the last word to Russian before deviously winking as he made for the zipper.

“And I know, how embarrassing it’s going to be, if we return and you have a boner visible…” he cackled afterward. Man, how he loved making his boyfriend squirm.

The next thing he did was to pull the zipper of said body suit down and follow it in the process—

[attr="class","samjermain"]He’d never imagined sex in public to be on his list of things that did it for him but he supposed all the trashy telenovelas his sisters watched when they thought their mother wasn’t looking were right.

It takes him a second to right himself and put the world where it belongs, properly underneath his feet; and then there’s the looming challenge of getting back into his clothes, checking for stains, and making sure his eyeliner didn’t get too smudged. Thinking of excuses should anyone ask where they’ve been, though no one will; it’s a long ingrained instinct that comes from having too strict parents.

Enjoying the beautiful museum, is what he will say. It pays to be polite. And it is true! Even if the enjoying he’d been doing was likely much different than what any imaginary persecutors would imagine.

He spreads his hands over his cloak and wonders why it feels so heavy.

“Shivani left,” he says, with a pout, realizing he’s going to have to haul this big ass thing all the way back to the ballroom without aid. He then thinks about how ridiculous it is that he's upset by that fact. "Though I guess I'm thankful for the privacy."

The moment he’d mentioned that Shivani was gone, he then belatedly realized…

“Well, if she went somewhere, safe to say that Carina went with her, too,” he confirmed, noting that there was just the tiniest little diamond fleck on one part of his clothes—he knew that he’d busted out the tiniest jewelry-studded scarf for his Ribombee…

“At least they didn’t see us do… unholy things,” he added with a snicker. Although, how would the poor maintenance personnel explain some of the displays having moved askew at a particular location? Or the… sticky remains of… their sins?!

“How… how do we get back there now?” he chuckled quietly as he realized… would he have to carry the entire train back?!
