A simple question, asked suddenly, over a text message, and with no greeting to preface it. The last message before it was probably some meme that Ambrose had sent her and Ceri had forgotten to reply to, which of course, she still didn’t, because she was too damn preoccupied with being excited over the prospect of having the kind of winter fun she used to have in Circhester.

Did it occur to her that Ambrose probably didn’t know how to ice skate? Yes.

Did she let that stop her? As if.

In fact, while picking out her outfit, Ceri followed up with a second message, simple yet ever so effective:

And such is the story of how she ended up telling ambrose orion to meet her near Oldale Town, for its vicinity had recently become a field of frost, and that meant that someone had actually managed to set up a proper ice rink. Cool, literally.

Staring into a screen filled with letters and numbers, trying to figure out why fixing one line of coding made 8 hours collapse into several different errors. Coffee cup rubbing close to his lips keeping his face warm, still staring daggers into his screen. Phone ringing breaking him away from his work.[break][break]

Taking a last sip from his coffee, Ambrose would take a deep breath of relief, finally a good reason to break away from his work that had been driving him crazy for the whole day! Soon after getting to a point in the coding that he could leave it be and right before answering the text. [break][break]

It was finally time for him to answer! Perhaps he had simply let her wait because of the lack of reply that his last meme had gotten, but then again Ceri was a busy girl.[break][break]

Of course he didn't know how to ice skate but that was a problem for his future self, he was about to get busy getting ready while he waited for Ceri's reply which he expected would come very soon. All he knew was to try and keep warm.[break][break]
