HELP THE BERRYMASTER KEEP HOENN'S HARVEST BOUNTIFUL

GENERAL INFORMATION

THE BERRYMASTER HAS ENTRUSTED YOU with a small plot of his land thanks to your burgeoning reputation. With four plots, you will be able to sow your own garden of berry trees. Although the size of your gardenscape may be limited, with tender care and love, you may reap a bountiful harvest.[break][break][break]

TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE GARDENS, you must:[break][break]

• purchase a WAILMER PAIL from the site shop.
• create a garden in the garden board.

You can only have ONE GARDEN PER WRITER ACCOUNT (i.e. your characters won't have individual gardens). However, you can imagine all of your characters having a garden if you so wish. Thankfully, the items and bonuses you receive in your garden can be accessed by all of your characters.

YOUR GARDEN PLOT

INITIALLY you will start with FOUR PLOTS to sow your seeds. However, once you possess one character with 500 POSTS, you can purchase a SPRAYDUCK from the Site Shop. After the purchase, you will be able to increase your garden plots to SIX.[break][break]

HOW TO & MECHANICS

HOW TO GARDEN?

ON YOUR WAY TO BECOMING A GREEN THUMB, challenges and surprises await you. However, don't fret. Read this section to understand how to work the land!

• purchase a watering can, seeds, and other garden items from the site shop thread. as a note, some berries are gated behind the purchasing character's post count, but benefits can be reaped by any character.
• you will only be able to plant seeds on vacant plots.
• create a garden thread in the garden board found here: [x]
• "plant your seeds" in the plots, making sure to note in the coding when they will reach full maturity.
• if you would like, you may update your growing berry trees yourself using the respective sprites here. feel free to use the fully-grown berry tree sprite as long as you indicate when you can harvest it.
• post in moderation requests or the site shop once your berry tree is at full maturity to reap the benefits of your harvest; feel free to keep tabs on what has been harvested/redeemed and post the harvest list in your PC.
• berry trees that have been harvested and can not regrow must be planted again by purchasing a new seed.
• lastly, you may make an IC-post in your garden ONCE A DAY.

WILD POKEMON may stumble into your garden, attracted by the sweet scent of your berry trees. these function like a wild encounter which you must post to chase away or catch with A POKEBALL.[break][break]

However, you may purchase a SCARECROW in the SITE SHOP in order to avoid wild encounters. If you choose to ignore the wild encounter for a week, the Pokemon will destroy a berry tree.

POKEMON IN THE GARDEN

YOUR POKEMON MAY PLAY SPECIAL ROLES in your garden as well. If you place a pokemon in your garden with the move rototiller or the ability chlorophyll, harvest, honey gather, overgrow or ripen, they will halve the time it takes for berry trees to reach full maturity.[break][break]

You can also EVOLVE your grass-type Pokemon if you place them in your garden. Evolving a grass-type Pokemon takes TWO WEEKS regardless of the special abilities above.[break][break][break]

Like the scarecrow, placing a pokemon in your garden takes up a plot, so you need to decide if you want sacrifice the maximum potential of your harvest!

TRACKING & REDEEMING HARVESTS

AFTER YOU HAVE GROWN YOUR PLANTS, please harvest them by posting in the site shop thread. Even if you're late in harvesting the berries, you can still post in the site shop with no issue, unless a wild Pokemon has eaten and destroyed your berry tree(s).[break][break]
