"guess we got what i was hoping for!" she declared as the roughhousing combees seemed to be eyepatched on one face, still seeking retribution for the tender pounding they had gotten at the previous bar they had been showing up at. taiga laughed out loud at the spectacle, a bunch of thugs coming for their new year chug jug alongside the bees they seemed to be 'pals' with. one thug was even so buzzed he ordered a drink for his combee pal. the pokemon just stared at it dumbly, unaware of what to do with this gift.[break][break]
"was told we'd get a good paycheck if we keep an eye on those things. might be a good time and we could order more drinks with the money," she offered to the fellow junkie.

It wasn't an exaggeration to say Jaskier had already downed about three drinks. His body was used to the treatment of alcohol so he hardly had a buzz. He had to admit though that the taste was superb and he could see himself coming back. With a refill on their Gravediggers, Jaskier took another chug of his. But all good things had to come to an end, and that came in the form of a more rough and tumble looking Combee who flitted its way over to the pair and tried to get at their drinks. With little to no hesitation, Jaskier began to swing at the pesky pokemon, but for every action, there was a reaction. He felt the bee-like pokemon sink its teeth into his hand and Jaskier ripped his hand back and held it.

"Ow, what the fuck, that little bitch bit me," he grumbled as he looked at his hand.

The creature managed to draw a little blood from him. Aggressive little prick, wasn't it? Perhaps the creature should calm down, because he knew that Taiga had a penchant for fire types. Maybe getting crispy was just what the bug type pokemon needed. But for now, it chose to leave the two alone and Jaskier grumbled a bit more as he used a napkin to clean up the little beads of blood that had began to trickle down his fingers.

"Real shit though, it's new years, Tai. Let's talk about what plans we've got for this new year. I gotta admit, I'm pretty excited to get out there with the appearance of these new pokemon and find some shit to concoct with them."

"ayo?" taiga chimed up, perking a brow at the combee that she could have sworn gave a little cocky 'heh' as it buzzed off before the redhead could do more to it. it didn't seem frightened, instead wanting to cause mischief elsewhere. "that little fucker," she huffed, her rage meter starting to fill as if it were a video game and she was getting amped up to start swinging.[break][break]
"come here."[break][break]
as to not leave him time to argue, taiga took to her lover's hand. raising his palm to her lips, she delicately ran her tongue along the bite as if to reclaim her territory. only her lips could travel along his skin like this and she took care to lick the blood away, drying off her spit with a few gentle kisses to the bite. peppering soft kisses along the curvature of her palm, she returned to her sitting position as she pulled away and flipped off the combees with both hands. "fuck off, piss mongers. looking like a few chamber pots with wings." she was annoyed, but she figured she might as well not let it ruin their date of sorts.[break][break]
"tch. 'bout to just burn the whole place down if they are just gonna let this happen." this threat fell on a worried bartender who raised his hands as if to say he didn't want any trouble. "but yeah, i guess i'm excited too. there's always some kind of new mix to try out with all the new pokemon popping up here and there. this world is cracked all the way sky high, things seeping through the seams. it's almost like there's a god out there that's just tired of this world and wants it all to end. freaky, huh? must be tired out 'cause such boring bitches roam this earth."

He couldn't help the way his body shivered in delight as Taiga ran her tongue against his injury. If he'd been a lesser man, he would have happily ravaged her right then and there. Alas, he shifted in his seat a bit and allowed his mind to wander elsewhere. Perhaps he'd make it a point to return the favor once their festivities concluded. Jaskier turned back to his drink and proceeded to down it in one fell swoop. He'd heard earlier that two famous vloggers had found themselves escorted out elsewhere for being a bunch of drunken idiots, here's hoping that Jaskier and Taiga didn't find themselves in the same boat.

"Honestly I'm down to burn this shithole down. Add to the whole 'god wanting to let this world burn' or some shit."

With that said, he let his Sneasel he'd manage to come across out of its ball. The ice-type stood proudly with his arms folded as he sized up the active Combee. Once the bug types started to come towards the pair, the Sneasel let out a screech and sent the bugs flying back. If it was a fight they wanted, it was a fight they'd get. Jaskier wanted to keep the damage to a minimum though, because he was still enjoying the Gravediggers that the place was serving.

"Another one, barkeep! Keep 'em coming and we'll get these little bastards cleared out."

funnily enough, they were fighting together as opposed to with each other this time around - should it come down to it. eyeing up the combees and then looking at the sneasel that acted as a bodyguard for her boyfriend, taiga let out her oversized obstagoon who found itself crammed in the small space. it glared at the bug types, its black-and-white arms folded over its wide chest. it sneered, as if not bothered by the little bugs in the least - ready to wipe them off the face of the earth should they even try and approach. the barkeep seemed to nod at this, taking the obstagoon as a bouncer of sorts that was put on the metaphorical table for payment in the form of more drinks.[break]
"y'heard the man, keep 'em coming," taiga said bossily, waving a hand for the bartender to hurry the fuck up. it wasn't wise to encourage jaskier's drinking, but they were there to have a good time. if the blonde man wanted another drink, she'd get it for him. truthfully, she'd get him a lot more than that, but this would do for now. with the next few rounds of gravediggers already swishing their way, taiga pushed her own cups towards jaskier with a sneer-smile. "for you, babe. whiskey dick aside, i'll still love ya' while you're all fucked up so have your fill." she ruffled his hair then, leaning into smirk and smile at him - obviously cheesing out over his company despite their suddenly appointed role of bodyguards for the staff and other customers.[break]
