It’s this little headband with knob-like horns that Onyx zooms in on, curiosity winning out over his propriety (what fucking propriety?) and the fact that instinctually as a human being he knows its impolite to snoop, especially when the snoopee is too sick to stop the snooper.

His fingers curl around the hanger, one hand reaching out to press the other clothes away, and he pulls out the… the tiniest excuse of two pieces of fabric stitched together and called clothing that could possibly ever exist. It’s a cow-print cut out dress with ‘MILK’ stitched across the tits in pink cursive. There’s even a little cowbell choker that rings as he turns to face Andres with a grin on his face.

“What the fuck is this?” he asks, and there’s no malice in his voice, because he’s smiling, and ha-ha he thinks it’s funny because he hasn’t yet considered the possibility of it being for Andres because it couldn’t possibly be, right?

Andres is busy sniffling into his soup. He's no longer falling asleep where he sat, and instead greedily eating hot broth and thick pork cuts. Despite the small breaks he seemed to need to drink water and fan himself, he seemed content. [break][break]

The man is slow to process this, like most situations with Onyx. But the panting slows as his eyes widen and flushed face grows hotter with shame. "Fuck! Don't-!" He whined tossing a balled up napkin at him. [break][break]

"You're ruining the surprise!" He whined hiding his face behind his hands while he miraculously balanced the bowl of soup on his lap. He doesn't have the energy for this. He couldn't play it off in this state, bedridden and slow brained.

Onyx grins, the napkin falling well short of where he’s standing. Whatever dirty little secret he’d just drummed up was well worth it to see Andres’ face flush red and hide his head in his hands.

Fucking adorable.

He almost doesn’t catch what Andres says, so caught up in how fucking cute he is in the moment. But he does, and he blinks, the smile stagnating on his face.

“Surprise?”

A coil of jealousy lashes through him. He tries to fight it, push it down. It could be... a gift, for someone. But knowing Andres and his history with scandalous outfits... he's not overly convinced of that.

When Andres gathers the nerve to peek through his fingers, that same goddamn grin shoots right through him. Onyx knows not what he's found, except that it's juicy and worth poking at. And he's sure his inability to bluff right now has only confirmed that. Andres can feel his entire body go hot and he averts his gaze from Onyx. [break][break]

The questions hangs in the air and Andres picks up his bowl, tilts it back, and silences himself by chugging some of the broth. When he can't take the heat ( literally ), he sets it on the bed, now a little safer to balance with him next to it. [break][break]

"Yeah..." he's annoyed, wiping orange broth off his mouth as he finally looked back at the cow fit and his caretaker. "It's...it was going to be a surprise...for you." he began. "At some point." When? Who's to say? It had been the result of another long pity party kind of night.

That hits Onyx in the gut so hard he’s surprised he doesn’t double over. He does do a rapid doubletake, from the cow suit to the sick boy in the bed and back again, and he’s-- and he’s--

--he’s literally. So instantly turned on he’s amazed he doesn’t fall over, what with all the blood rushing you know where.

“You got this… for me?” His voice does a weird high-pitched-but-also-husky thing that he thinks he would rip his own vocal cords out if he could. He shakily reaches back into the closet and hangs the cow dress back up, the little bell tinkling at him in vicious mockery.

If his reaction is bad, Onyx's is worse. He seemed to take pause, voice nearly breaking as he tried to speak. Hazel eyes damn near flash yellow in the low-light like Chuchi when she greeted Onyx. A terrible grin pulls at his lips as he turns his body towards Onyx. "Yeah. You." He said letting each word hang in the air deliberately. [break][break]

That or his brain could only process so many at a time due to the fever. But even delirious, he can gage a little. But he's not as subtle as he could be either. "Get it?" He sits up a little cupping his chest with his hands and pushing on his pecs a little. "Because….I've got….big milkers??" He laughed like a middle schooler squeezing his own chest.

Two could play at that game.

Onyx replaces the cow dress in the closet and moves on autopilot, walking quickly but measuredly across the room to the bed. Moving the ramen bowl, he scoops Andres under the arms, lifts him, and slides in behind him, replacing him directly in his lap over his very obvious situation.

“Yes you do,” he says, arms coming around Andres’ lap to hold his midsection and pull him back against him, nuzzling into the warm skin at the nape of his neck.

When your opponent tries to outplay you it is important to know their weaknesses.

“It’s a very good surprise.”

He enters a coughing fit as revealed his master plan to Onyx. The man just seemed amused. He just barely managed to clamp a hand over his mouth as Onyx lifted him before getting dropped back down into his lap. But he lets out another laugh followed by a pathetically stifled coughing fit. He lifts his elbow weakly to cover his mouth, choking on the itch in his throat and the snot it was knocking loose. [break][break]

When he’s done, he tries to readjust as he sat over Onyx’s discomfort- or not really? Since he had placed him directly on top of it?? But before he could shift, Onyx pulled him closer still, wrapping arms around his waist and nuzzling into his neck. A gesture that’d only come before with a different undertone.

Andres’ fevered blush darkens as the man’s long hair tickles his skin. “Onyx wait-” he began while they pressed tightly against him. "I- I'll take care of it-" he added with a small, wheezy laugh that ends in a sharp cough.

“Yeah, you will,” he growls, turning his head so his ear was resting on the curve of Andres spine, “when you’re better.” He grabbed a box of tissues within arm’s reach and plopped them on the blankets on Andres legs.

“What do we got for entertainment in this bitch?” he asks, leaning back against the pillows and the head of the bed and coaxing Andres to do the same, just, on top of him.

Even this little bit of exertion, squirming and trying to readjust, had him hot and panting. He'd already been bad enough pulled form a deep slumber by Onyx and Amplexus before being moved and fed. With some noodles in his stomach, he was sleepier. "Now-" he began again before looking down and covering his mouth as he let out a set of sneezes. [break][break]

Despite himself, he reaches for the tissues Onyx grabbed for him. Despite the immediately distraction under him, Andres calmed down unable to keep fighting as much as he'd like to. So when Onyx guides him to lay back down, he does with minimal hesitation. He'd wanted Onyx to stick around and...this was different to the usual. Not bad different- just different. Nice. In a way. Still, it doesn't keep him from cracking a quick joke at Onyx's expense. "Fuck you." He peaks up at Onyx, grinning wide. "You know? Like ?Netflix and chill...without the Netflix."

Onyx grins, nose wrinkling. “You read my mind. I was gonna suggest that. But only the Netflix part.” He stacks a pillow behind his upper back and tugs the blankets up in the same measure. “Do you have a remote, or is this Chromecast, or what’s the situation here?”

After a beat he flattens his feet to the bed and flexes his hips, lifting them both up so he can fish one hand underneath Andres and undo his jeans, pushing them down. “Don’t get excited, now. No way I’m letting you around my junk, Coughy McCougherson. Jus’ getting comfortable."

Andres huffs as Onyx rebuffs him once more. "Remote's here…somewhere…" he murmured, weakly sitting up and pawing at the covers of the bed. He shook and yanks at the duvet, unearthing the remote for him. [break][break]

He protests being jostled with a sudden, "Hey-!" Before huffing indignantly at him. "I'll remember this, y'tease." He said before struggling as he clamped his mouth shut to keep from coughing loudly and proving Onyx's point. But when he's done he settles against him. He curled up around his warmth, tucked his head neatly into the crook of their neck. Andres lets out a small sigh as he wrapped his arm around Onyx's side, tucking his hand between them and the mattress to dig into the warmth accumulating. "You're the worst." He complained as he achieved hisbown comfort. A few beats later he murmured, "I'm lying…"

They’re a tangled mess of blanket and body. Andres is lax against his chest, their legs entwined. Onyx manages to get his jeans pushed down far enough he can hook his ankle through them and kick them the rest of the way off, losing them at the foot of the bed.

“Good,” he rumbles at Andres’ promise to remember this memory, and it’s warm in more ways than one. He somehow fishes the remote out from where it got re-buried and powers the TV on, waiting for the loading screen to fade.

Andres reorients himself and clings.

“I know.” Onyx presses a soft kiss into the other man’s hair. “I know that, too. What do you want to watch?”
