"Mhmm...Mr. Anderson." Andres echoed, focusing on Onyx's body. His thoughts are fuzzy as he struggled through the flu that wracked his body. He wants to say more, but his brain focuses on how soothing Onyx's arm is and he just fades away into it. [break][break]

"Uhh..." Wes Anderson is one thing. Explaining him, took brain power. And right now. Anderson was low on power, much less brain cells. But he tries his best as the music begins to play. "It's dark, but not...gory?" there's a pause. "It's funny from...the...um....t-the way the shots set up. Visual gags...weird cuts..." he opens his eyes, watching the screen change as an array of colors flash by.

He gets more of an answer than he had any right to expect.

“Huh,” he says, feigning thought as he continues the slow pattern of dragging his hand up and down the span of Andres’ back, hoping to lull him to sleep. From the way he was slurring his words, it didn’t seem too far off.

The movie is rather bright and pastel-colored. It reminds Onyx of the taste of Neopolitan icecream.

The music starts and the title card changes and through Andres' half lidded eyes it all looks like swirls of color. He coughs weakly but even that doesn't jostle him awake. He's falling fast, the tight grip he had before loosening as he relaxed. [break][break]

Eventually he stops focusing on the moving, staring at the closet door before finally Onyx's chest. He stares at his shirt, counts the number of lint balls on it before losing count. "...yeah…" he whispers as his eyes shut. He breathes slow, but drifts quickly into unconsciousness.

Onyx was quiet for a long time, torn between the movie and watching Andres sleep; he kept rubbing his back the entire time, unused to the casual stillness the moment presented.

When he was certain Andres was deep asleep, he began to talk.

"I came over to tell you... I talked to my sister. Or, a spirit who claimed to be her, anyway. It may have just been... a trick. Or, like, a reflection of my subconscious, or what the fuck ever." His voice becomes choked with emotion and he swallows it, nuzzling into Andres' hair. "She sounds the same, Andres. As the day she died. It was like looking into a mirror. I wanted to badly to bring her with me but... like I said, it was probably just a trick. We didn't get to talk long but when we did it was like... god, it was perfect. A-- a completeness I never think I'll get again. I don't know if people who aren't twins will understand. Maybe your sisters do? I don't know. I've spent so long trying to forget her because if I think about her too much I'll get sick. I know she wouldn't agree with... me. The me I've become."

He shifts a little, pulls Andres up a little higher on his chest. Like a shield.

"But I think... I think you're the first thing she'd be proud of me for. Maybe not all the time, but... how we are now. Times like this... where you make me different. Better. It's like around you... I keep turning out to be more than what I was before. And I think she'd be proud of that."
