At some point, she'd stopped climbing. One of the smaller peaks overlooking the road leading back to Fallarbor Town had become her chosen resting ground, where she could feel the wind nudging her face that tad bit harder than she could below. It tried to lure her into that false sense of safety, to give in and scream her lungs out against no-one but the wind.

Yet, she couldn't. She didn't even wish to share with the wind what bothered her, and instead sat solemnly, staring at the vast infinity of the Meteor Falls. So much that she hadn't even noticed the subtle little nudge on her arm until a small head had plopped itself on her lap. Kyrenai looked down, staring at the bright, curious eyes of a little Jangmo-o staring back at her.

And then she looked up. This wasn't hers. And neither did it seem to be anyone else's; there were no trainers present nearby, or furhter down either. A wild one?

It nudged her again, trying to crawl on her lap. Like it knew she just needed some comfort despite her fervent denial. The softest of smiles broke through the solemnness, and she gently pet its scaley head. It seemed to like that. "There's more where that came from, little one." she whispered softly, holding out a pokéball. Bumping its little head against the ball, a red glow engulfed it. All she could do was hope the little thing didn't change its mind at the last minute.
