"You did? Chomper and I really look like twins, don't we?" Andrea cheekily remarked, flashing a shit-eating grin. Being mistaken for a Hydreigon was apparently high praise from her perspective, so she was unabashedly proud of the fact.

When asked if she could fly, the cosplaying girl's smile dropped. "I tried to get the wings to work, but no luck! According to all known laws of aviation, I'm too heavy to fly." She admitted with a sigh, her stupidly big booba getting in the way of achieving her dream.

Lars told her to lead the way. Truthfully, Andrea didn't know where the legendary Pokémon could be hiding, but this wasn't a very large cave, so they were bound to show up eventually. "Hellooooo, Ms. Diancieeeee?" The girl hollered, her voice echoing against rocky walls. "We'd like to battle you!"

Lars pointed out the unlikelihood of Diancie hiding near the entrance. "This isn't a very large cave, so she's bound to be here somewhere." Andrea countered, continuing to look around.

"I guess fighting all the legendary Pokémon is kinda my very own Gym challenge. One legendary can be as tough as a Gym leader's entire team, after all." The dragon fanatic explained as the three of them delved deeper. "We managed to beat Heatran with some help from MATIAS SILPH, but Tapu Koko wiped the floor with us." She added. Chomper shuddered, still feeling the sting from the Alolan deity's almighty Z-Move.

Eventually, they ran into a lone Carbink that was minding its own business. Upon noticing the human and the two (?) scary dragons, the Carbink scampered off, sweating bullets as it bounced on its mineral body. "Follow that Pokémon!" Andrea exclaimed, running after it.

The trio were in hot pursuit, but that didn't mean they couldn't have some more chit-chat while they were at it. "Oh, that's! Still going on! But taking Gym challengers! Isn't the same thing!" Andrea said while huffing.

The head ranger's assertion rang true, for the runaway Carbink soon joined with the rest of its kin, forming a circle around a singular being: A slightly larger, more humanoid Carbink with a crown made of pink gemstones. "Is that... Diancie?" The young PokéManiac muttered in awe.



The diminutive legendary greeted the humans with a graceful bow. Her stature was refined and regal, like a queen granting them an audience. The Hydreigon-cosplaying girl did not hesitate to speak up. "It's an honor to meet you, Ms. Diancie. Chomper and I would like to battle you!"

Diancie contemplated the girl's request, before responding with a smile and a nod. As if on cue, her Carbink subjects dispersed, leaving plenty of space for the two main battlers. Chomper hovered in front of his costumed trainer, getting all Worked Up, all the while Diancie made her sparkling frame even sparklier with a Rock Polish.

Ro materialized alongside Chomper, the prideful dragon sharing a meaningful look with his worthy rival. On this special occasion, they shall fight together as a team. Diancie was suspended in midair by the Metagross' Telekinetic energy, leaving her wide open for the ensuing Draco Meteor that left giant, smoking craters all over the battlefield.

"We got her! Nice move, Chomper!" Andrea rejoiced, but her celebration was premature. Once the dust had settled, the queen of jewels looked very much unharmed by the attack, which hadn't even left a scratch on her mineral body. "It had no effect?!" The eccentric trainer gasped. "Don't tell me... She's a Fairy type?!"

Her assumption was seemingly correct, since Diancie proceeded to unleash a devastating Dazzling Gleam against both combatants.

Ro's attack collided with Diancie's own. What resulted was a blinding explosion of power that forced Andrea to shield her eyes. "If Dragon-type moves won't work, then try... uuuhh... Fire Fang!" The girl shouted.

The shiny Hydreigon obliged, but his flame-coated jaws couldn't even put a dent on Diancie's rock-hard exterior. A point-blank Moonblast blew the dual Dark/Dragon type away, sending him crashing against the wall of the cave.

"Oh no, Chomper!" The young, costumed woman cried out WORRIEDLY. The power of her Sygna Suit caused Chomper's injuries to gradually heal, but it was not enough. He'd just taken an attack he was quad-weak to, after all. Had he finally chomped more than he could chew? To make matters worse, their enemy began to glow with rainbow energy. "N-no way! She's..."



The queen of jewels was encased in an egg-shaped construct of infinity energy, which promptly burst open to reveal her Mega Evolved form. She was now clad in a heavenly wedding gown, the gem on her head having grown in size, while additional crystals had sprouted from under her pearly white dress. Locking onto the temporarily blinded Metagross, she fired a second Moonblast that was twice as devastating as the first.

"She didn't seem that weak to Fire to me." The Sygna Suit-clad woman pointed out, graciously accepting the head ranger's help. With Chomper still healing, she was basically a sitting Ducklett. All she could really do was watch as Ro did their work FOR them.

The Mega Metagrosseses Tough Claws left nasty marks on Mega Diancie, tearing her beautiful dress to shreds. The exposed 'skin' sparkled like a mineral vein, giving away her secondary Rock typing. Recognizing the eight-legged beast as a serious threat, she exploited the weakness of the Steel type, the ground beneath Ro exploding with an Earth Power.
