Everyone’s been fascinated with Paldean Pokemon lately. Though she never expected in a million years to be approached with a modeling gig with her Tatsugiri involved. However, now that she really thinks about it Abigail wonders if her Pokemon would be the star at all.[break][break]
She wrestles her long gold hair into a ponytail (easier to swim in), meanwhile her Tatsugiri slaps the wet pool tiles below, eager to get in the pool. Abigail smiles.[break][break]
“Go ahead.”[break][break]
Don’t have to tell him twice! Tatsugiri dives into the water and swims, rather impressive at doing laps for his small size.[break][break]
It’s a mock rehearsal. So she isn’t putting too much pressure on herself. For the meantime, though, she’s content in dipping her legs in the water and watching her Pokemon swim wildly around like an olympic swimmer.

When she was little, Dad used to take them to the pool. It made washing his hoard of child thieves a lot easier, and the lifeguards meant he never had to worry if a brat went under. Instead, he curled up on a stolen towel and snoozed the hours away. Master burglar or not, Crookshanks was still a cat. So, he spent his time sleeping with occasional bursts of wakefulness.

Though her rented room came with a shower, Harper still paid the occasional visit to the pool. It was fun, and she actually loved the smell. Then, of course, there was her fishy friend she needed to cater to. A runty Lumineon with a consistent haughtiness and overall quiet demeanor. Home didn’t exactly give her room to stretch her fins—unless the fish felt like doing laps in a rusty bathtub.

Her current swimsuit came courtesy of the trash bin at a thrift store. It still had tags. Which, Harper learned, happened an awful lot. Though on the verge of too small, the child’s one piece covered everything it needed to—except for the countless scars dotting her arms and ankles. With her hair dripping from the shower, Harper slid her way to the edge of the pool. Behind her, the elegant Lumineon floated.

After a brief moment of contemplating the chlorine, the Lumineon slunk her way into the water. Its violet eyes stared haughtily at the Tatsugiri, doing her best to avoid the hyperactive little blog.

Harper, meanwhile, watched the Tatsugiri cut through the water. Figuring its trainer was the lady staring at it, the teenager turned with a grin. “Hey, Missus!” She chirped. “I've never seen one of those before! It looks like sushi!” She plopped down on the tile, dangling her badly painted toes in the water. “What’s it called?” She pointed to the Lumineon. “That’s Dampina.” Pale pink lips pursed as she leaned over. “She’s kind of a butt.”
