Jagged Pass opened like a scar in the earth. Latent heat from the old volcanic rock made a thin layer of sweat cool on her skin. It was… comforting, in a way. More like Hoenn was supposed to be. Less of the heavy, wet coldness that sank into your bones.

The Metang hovered out of the darkness, and Thalia paused to watch it for a moment. It was scanning the ground for something, plucking at rocks and tossing them aside, then moving forward in jerky, fast-and-slow spurts.

After a bit, Thalia grew bored. She tossed Breakers at it, who dropped a hypnosis over it and sent it clanking to the ground.

Thalia threw a Pokeball.
