GUINEVERE CALCIFET

HISTORY

The origins of Guinevere's birth is no secret. In fact, she was wrapped in a scandalous tale of the ages as soon as she took her first breath. Prince Phillip Calcifet, the magnanimous crown prince and heir apparent of Galar's first major scandal was the one that would lead him to his ultimate downfall. Married, he had managed to have an affair with one of the palace's commoner workers and had a child out of wedlock.

To make matters worse for his image his wife was sick and confined to her bed. Though their marriage was an arranged one, the general public was still on the side of his wife. Especially when he openly chose to side with his pregnant mistress instead of his sick wife. At the time, this caused a lot of eyes to be on the Royal Family, and a lot of negative press to be reflected back on them.

During the heat of this scandal, Phillip's sick wife's health took a turn for the worse until ultimately she lost her battle with her illness. It was theorized that the stress from all of this was too much for her body to handle. Which further tanked the public opinion of Prince Phillip. As a result Phillip was forced out of his position as Crown Prince, losing it to his younger sister, now Queen Edelynn II.

Villainized in the media, Prince Phillip hid out of sight and attempted to maintain the peace. He instead focused on spending time with his mistress and their child. Guinevere Calcifet their pride and joy despite the nature of which she was brought into the world. They were well aware that life wouldn't be easy for their daughter and were determined to do their best for her regardless.

It wasn't reveled until years later about the truth of Phillip and his sick wife's relationship. ( She had started an affair first and lost her fight against HIV ) But at that point it was already too late. Phillip had lost his position to his sister and the opinion of his family and other nobles towards his daughter was already soured. Public opinion on Guinevere was divided. Some didn't like her, other's understood that she didn't ask for this life. So it wasn't her fault.

Tired of being ostracized by her power hungry family who felt threatened by her, she decided to give up on her family and royal responsibilities fairly early. Which, of course, had the public divided. But she didn't care. If she was going to be a disappointment she might as well go all out. She'd live her life the way she wanted to and there was no one who could stop her.

PERSONALITY

Guinevere is a headstrong girl with nerves of steel. Kind of have to be when you consider all the bullshit she had to endure from her family and the press. Quick-witted and equipped with a silver-tongue, Gwyn is relentless when it comes to her enemies yet steadfast when it comes to her allies. She's got a pretty big rebellious streak going on right now. When other's say she can't she just loves to prove them wrong and make them eat their words.

She's pretty confident in herself and her abilities despite how everyone around her seems to tell her she shouldn't be. Still, despite her stubborn side she still has some unresolved issues. Being constantly publicly scrutinized didn't do wonders for her self-confidence. Her strong exterior is mostly a façade she created for herself. She still very much struggles with anxiety and a fear of being abandoned by those she cares about.

CURRENT PLOTS

ROYAL REJECT
Due to the nature of Gwyn's birth, she's not seen in the best light. Public opinion of her is divided while her family and the other nobles in Galar look down on her due to her 'lowly' heritage. Because of this, growing up Gwyn often challenged authority and rebelled further painting her in a bad light. Ultimately she decided to leave behind all her royal duties in favor for living life the way she wanted.

A notable hacker that appears during times of social unrest. Public opinion seems to be in favor of them since they're dubbed a 'Modern Day Robin Hood'. Often taken on bigger corporations or government officials to do what's right by the people in ways that can't be 'legally' done. Currently wanted by law enforcement and government officials. Often sends a calling card whenever they get involved in matters.
