priam rubs the sides of his arms as he enters the simulation.

"this is creepy," he comments to theo beside him. "kinda makes you feel like our expeditions to ultra deep sea, right?"

the feeling of being drawn to the pull was nothing but new to priam. during their trips, it was always him that gets enticed by the environment to go against his nature, luring him deep. up to this point, he still couldn't tell if it was just a personality trait of his that makes him vulnerable to its influence or if it had been the mark imprinted on him.

his phone has been shoved deep into his pockets, not wanting to listen to the weird static it emits.

"i don't like it here. i know it's a simulation and all, but i'm sure we already have other people trying out what happens if you give in to the pull."

he definitely would have been down to fight the unknown in the darkness, but not after personal experience in the depths of ultra deep sea.

wisdom that comes from age shows when he chooses not to venture into the darkness. he is more than content to follow priam's lead.

Everyone falls through and lands in a decrepit underground hall. The walls feature engravings of what appear to be Unown. One wall spells out a message through the Symbol Pokemon's depicted bodies: the more there is, the less you see.[break][break]

the sensation of falling isn't new to priam. multiple times has the ground beneath his feet given in to plunge him to a freefall, but perhaps this was for the best in this scenario.

as he reaches for a pokeball for a pokemon to slow down his descent, he finds himself dropping on another floor before he could. quickly, he flashes a light, and notices they're in another room once again.

eyes catch familiar symbols on the walls. words of deep meaning were written in unown, and while someone would have taken a while to decipher them, priam does so easily like it was common letters.

"the more there is, the less you see," he repeats subconsciously. "that's not a riddle we need to solve, right?"

before priam can think more about what to think of it, he notices an exit. "hey, let's go out!"

exiting the room leads them to a seamless transition to a glade.

an ivory trunk welcomes them, and for both of them who have been in rocket throughout the years of their occupation on hoenn, the tree was too familiar to them.

"funny, y'know, cause sootopolis is, like, full of water, and now it wants us to water it."

it didn't actually speak, or instruct them in any way. priam just feels compelled to do it when he's around it.

he experienced it before too, at littleroot when they blew up the first tree that sprouted on hoenn. he didn't act on it, but he was so close on following his instincts back then.
