he drops down into the bed opposite of danny, pulling up his heels to sit criss-cross applesauce, painstakingly-unwrinkled sheets crumpling beneath the fold of his knees. [break][break]

“had to head back to kalos,” he shrugs, one-shouldered. a shadow twists at the edge of his mouth for a heartbeat, before his expression clears. “got you a souvenir.” [break][break]

his expression lights up at the mention of a souvenir. he catches it with ease and holds it up to admire.

"aw man, you didn't have to but i'm so glad you did."

no point trying to hide his joy that quickly fades when the same question is asked in return. it isn't so much the question itself but more so the situation he finds himself in.

"i, um..."

he pauses, considering.
