Half kidding, of course.

Besides him, the by now iconic duo that were his Escavalier and Crustle each sported a bright yellow hard hat, both bugs ready to excavate the treasures deep within Eternatus' guts.

He didn’t need to elaborate further; although this time he was ready—with a Kleavor, a Garchomp, and a Midday Lycanroc all making their appearance.

“I brought more diggers along this time, considering that we have to dig pretty deep to find the actual things we’re looking for.”

With that, the three Pokémon accompanying him began to dig, dig, dig.

"Don't worry 'bout those." He said, right before one of said hands lunged for him without warning, dragging a helpless yelp out of him. "HEE!"

Before he could get punched in the taint however, the hand suddenly got skewered by his Escavalier's drilling spear, the knight-like bug releasing a confident huff as he looked down on the puddle left.

"... L-like i said, nothing to worry about." Doug said, pride totally intact as he coughed onto a fist, face not flushed at all.

"Good call." He finally said, looking over the array of diggers brought by Alexei. "Let's get to drilling, y'all!"

He tried to ignore the uncomfortable sensation of nausea and vertigo that overexposure to the skelleton's innards always, inevitably, brought.

He could take it. For now.

“You sure you can take it?” he blinked, watching as the three Pokémon he’d summoned got to work. There was a sort of system between the three—the Kleavor would hack away at the rock, the Lycanroc would try to dislodge it from its position, and the Garchomp would smack it with their claws.

(Because he totally looked like he was having one hell of a time, though. At least he didn’t need to summon the… the ‘panik button’ for now. Which was good, all things considered.)

“Keep digging,” he hummed to the three as he turned to face the other way—keeping an eye out in case they were fucking jumped on.

He had really chosen the worst time to let himself get spooked, huh.

"Yes." He huffed back at the other man, before grinning down at his pokemon. "Now... let's get to it, gentlebuddies!"

Yeah, no.

They heard it before they event felt it. Just a sharp jab at the back of their brains, as if something had been suckled from it, before the monstrosity descended upon the center of the chamber.

An arachnid like creature— perhaps an inevitability, given his presence.

The fact that it had 8 wings instead of legs and looked like a biblically accurate angel? That was all Alexei.

"Well... we've seen worse." He said with a helpless shrug; no point in lamenting his eyes' fate. "Bedy— get in there!"

His escavalier launched forth, spearing into the bizarre poke-fusion thing.

Here he was, hoping that he wouldn’t have to fight the… strange one that kept appearing whenever he kept turning up down here.

(You know… the one that had three Salamence heads, its wings but was crammed on the body of what he knew was a Dodrio. Two angry and one absolutely derpy head.)

…unfortunately, however, the thing that showed up looked like something taken straight out of the original Alto Marean version of the Paradiso…

“WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!” he exclaimed, never mind if he’d just cussed in front of… meh, he was sure the other had an equally-strong ascertaining of whatever the fuck shit was that.

Loathe as he was to distract the diggers, and even more loathe he was to reveal… too late, too fucking late he’d thrown the Cherish Ball forward and out emerged the Tornadus, screeching all manner of anger and immediately throwing himself forward in a Dragon Hammer motion.

The better to expunge the… many-eyeballed thing as fast as possible.

Hella yikes.

As the monstrosity collapsed, the core began to glower and tremble, waves of radiation spilling over them like free flowing river.

It was time to leave.

"Augh...! Let's get out of here, Ivanov!" The youth roared as he threw everything he could on the trolley and began to push it out in a hurry, huffing while trying to shake off the jitters taking over his body. Everything felt off.

He really didn't like this place. But no, that was just the radiation talking... just need to get OUT!
